Want a game that lets you take control of a starship, what a game that lets you decide how to secure victory? Alt Space is more than just a game it’s going to give the gamer the ability to choose their own destiny. Set in a distant future where mankind is in the final battle for earth, a science ship receives damage to their hyper drive, jumping them too close to a black hole. Cue cinematic :) The crew of the science vessel emerges in a yet unexplored region of space. Do you have the skills, to find allies, fend off enemies and ultimately reach earth in time to save mankind with your new found allies? Full back story to follow in the coming weeks.

After working and launching many mobile apps, we decided to focus on something we really wanted. We believe Alt Space will be AMAZING and with your support it will just grow! We have played many space games and turn based games but we have always wanted intense turn based battles where both ship to ship as well as crew vs crew combat existed. We have looked for inspiration in many awesome games, ranging from X-Com series to Star trek bridge commander and even frozen synapse. In the end we have come up with what we believe to be the best of all worlds, a turn based game where turns are resolved simultaneously to provide an immersive battle. Alt Space will exist on two plains, one is a zoomed out ship to ship combat and the other a X-Com style when on-board the ships. Ships courses can be plotted using your mouse and drawing a course, the course line will highlight where your turn will end so you can ensure you have defended yourself against what ever onslaught you expect. This could be done by moving shields from one side of your ship to another or by deploying anti missile defenses.
