not bad, but the grip looks really huge for some reason
Like chunky or just big length wise?
I think its just because the view mode is orthographic but its being viewed at an angle.
I think it'd look normal if the view mode was perspective instead of orthographic for angled shots.
Or it might be because if you modeled it from a side-view picture you didn't account for the fact the real one is rounded out to that width, and since the model's grip is more boxy it should really be only as wide as the real one's grip before it starts to be rounded if that makes sense.
Basically I think what might make it too big is if you look at the wood grip and then how big the metal part of the grip is around that, it shouldn't be that much bigger than the wood part is because in the real one it is rounded there but yours isn't rounded so yea....I hope that makes sense.

lmfao yea the only reason im not switching is because i can't figure out how to move the camera in later version like i clikc and the little red circle goes to wherever i click and when i hit 'C' the camera moves to that position. I've got 3ds max and maya any suggestions on which one to use ?
The controls got changed for that. Annoys me too but you can change them back in user preferences. Change "Circle select" to Ctrl C and then "Center to Cursor" back to C.
Can't suggest either 3ds Max or Maya since I don't have either of them.
