“A Nation of Wind” is a video game featuring elements of gameplay from both “Arena Shooters” (like Geometry Wars, Super Stardust, and Asteroids), and “Real Time Strategy” games, (such as Populous, Starcraft, and Actraiser). Set in a world of floating islands and airships, the player is tasked with commanding a ship and establishing/defending colonies. Players will be forced to deal with the bizarre creatures that come up from the lower atmospheres to wreak havoc on their airship and settlements, while appeasing the god’s of the land and eventually bending them to the player’s will. “A Nation of Wind” is currently developed by one intrepid artist, Jameson Wilkins. He is a freelancer with several years of experience in the browser and mobile gaming markets, and has studied game design and art the entirety of his life.

The way the island and floating rock hit detection and reaction works, it sometimes makes funky things happen. I've only had it happen once, so it's not too bad, but when I was maneuvering around an island at high speed, I nudged a floating rock right next to an island. Unfortunately, this wedged me into the island itself and stopped my ship from being able to move anywhere, meanwhile my health gradually depleted until I died. The islands should probably push units towards the nearest open space in order to prevent that.

It's the only bug I've found so far though, so other than that, it's been working flawlessly.

Thanks for pointing this out nicktendo! It is indeed a problem, because I really like the idea of the reefs (giant boulders) being free floating with some simple physics, but occasionally it does cause issues like this.

For the time being I'm going to throw this bug in a pile of others that are "annoying, but not game breaking", and continue to work on other, more pressing issues, but I do plan on trying to address it eventually!

Yup, that sounds fine. Just figured I'd point it out as I see it. After it happens once, you always watch out to prevent it from happening again. So it's really barely even a bother.
