3079 is a futuristic, open-world action first-person role playing game. You arrive on a planet experiencing constant war. It is your duty to find out why the warring factions cannot find peace on their own & hopefully restore it yourself. All areas, buildings, items, quests and characters are randomly generated. You will find unique lands & challenges. I hope you enjoy it! "Just want to say again that this is a great game! For those of you who feel like its a minecraft copy just beacuse of the cube textures used you really need to rethink what a game is about! The game play of 3079 is nothing like minecraft it is pretty unique as well as how the weapons all have diffrent stats and colors kind of reminds me of Borderlands. However it is still an original idea for a game and i still play it from time to time. You should at least try the demo and if you like it please buy it and support fruit! :D Still give it a 9/10 ! Best Regards, Adam" -- SeaNanners Sequel @ 3089game.wordpress.com

Hello my name is david any i just bought 3079 on gamersgate.com but i have an issue. I click the download link that it gives me and everything is fine. Then when i click the jar file that is downloaded it opens a cmd then quickly closes. i clicked it a bunch of times to see what it was saying and it said something about the jre6\bin\msvcr71.dll. so i did some research and i saw others had this problem with this file. I really want to play this game so if theres another way to install it or if anyone knows how to fix my problem please help!! PS - i downloaded the demo to check that the specific file wasnt the problem, same thing happens, i double click the jar and same error so im pretty sure it has something to do with that file. Thanks for looking at this post. |

Have you tried re-installing the Java runtime? You should be running Java 7, and I see you are running Java 6 (jre6). |

Thanks and yes i have jre7 but it seems to be looking in the jre6 folder. does it maybe have to do with my paths in the environmental variables settings? By the way thanks for the quick reply i hope i get this resolved soon

Try uninstalling Java 6 (and while your at it, Java 7) so you have no Java runtimes installed. Then, install just the latest version of Java 7. This should repair the environment variables to use jre7 and jre6 should be gone... hopefully this helps :/ |
