12 Is Better Than 6 is a dynamic top-down kill-everyone shooter with stealth elements, presented in a Wild West theme. The action takes place in 1873 – the noon of lawless and cruelty all over North America.
This game has it lacks for now, but I see the developers working on them with comunity. It still has an awesome style, simple, but interesting plot...and man, this impact when getting bad guys ***** kicked! Many people compare it to Hotline Miami, it's probably because the top-down shooter genre's potential had been forgotten for some time.
But 12 better than 6 is different with its gameplay: you have to **** the gun before every shoot. Killing guys standing in one room is still possible, but it'll be the way harder.
Moreover, there is more freedom of what way the player can go through the game. You may even ignore the bad guys and run through level without a single shot. Which is a bit weird, as it's not a roleplay game... still there are different kinds of players out there! You want a story? Just go and get it. You want a challenge fight? Go and get it! You want to cut the throats? Well... To be honest, it's a challenge too, and sometimes impossible, but go and get it! That's what 12 better than 6 is all about.
It's hard not to mention the awesome signature style of the game: hand-drawn graphics, stilized as the blue pen pictures. It reminds me of that times, when I was young and draw "games" in my notebook. :) And it feels like playing one of Tarantino or Rodrigez movies, but in blue pen collour.
The soundtrack us also touching and keeps your shooting spirit through all the game, as it should do.
I wouldn't give you a high expectations, still this is the game which must be played and remembered. Why? The style, baby!
