A curious question. If I wanted to start making animation for other people's video games which engine should I familize myself with? Unity, UDK or both? |

UDK doesn't get updates anylonger. The support is cancelled since Unreal Engine 4 is free if you didn't know already ^^ |

It's been a while... so which did you choose? |

exporting into both the engines is pretty much the same, and neither is particularly difficult to get use to. I would recommend that you learn both but start with unity. more indie developers are using unity for some reason so you should learn how to import into unity and learn the ins and and outs of blend shapes. when you are comfortable with that, move onto unreal and enjoy the wonderful world of animation blending. |
