Hello everybody:
We are right now in an open beta to gather feedback from the users and adapt the new features based on your opinions. So, if you want to try it, just access the app through the following link: We’d love to hear any ideas your might have. Moreover, if you want to influence in the development of the new features, just register in the web (its free) and vote in the poll of new features or propose your ideas and we would include them in the next release. Looks promising! I will try it out. It would be helpful to know what platform(s) it works on in your description... Hmmm... I've got some feedback. 1. Nice program, in general. I like that it is accessible through a browser 2. Some problems: It was a bit slow and unresponsive. I use a lot of 3D software and I would not use something this slow. If you have a downloadable version, that might be better. 3. The rooms designer is confusing. It would be better if you could see a transparent image of the outside structure while designing the rooms. 4. The final output was a bit of a let down. I did not see any export function, just 2D blueprints. It would be nice if you could get a wavefront .obj file of your house so you could use it in a game or something... -- Star Explorers on Steam: Store.steampowered.com |

Thanks for the feedback! I'll try to answer your comments 1. Thanks 2. We are aiming at the web so anyone can use it without it needing to install anything and you can always have the latest version, but we are looking into creating a standalone app. The slow and unresponsive could be related to the browser or the platform. We have seen that, depending on the implementation of the browser (and specially the webgl implementation) (edge suffers a bit more for example), the general experience can change a lot 3. You are right. We have not put it until we have the feature of being able to fix the room in a specific location of the building but it will be implemented soon 4. Humm, that is strange. You should have seen a fbx file of your model that can be imported with all the popular choices (maya, 3dmax, unity and unreal engines...) Could you try again and see if the fbx is shown. It could be that you need to scroll a bit to see the 3d model but we will look into it. thanks a lot |

I'll check it out again ... maybe I didn't look closely enough, but there were several large buttons that offered to download blueprints, and I didn't see any 3D formats there. I will let you know when I try again. -- Star Explorers on Steam: Store.steampowered.com |
