Half Life 2 Black Screen Thread

Hello, i don't know if this is the right place to post a question about Half Life 2...but i have a problem, when i start "New Game - Point Insertion" the screen goes black. I can hear Gman's voice and i can see the subtitles. Then i have tried loading another map and everything worked fine. How can i fix this problem?

Try validating HL2's game content via Steam, check if your graphics card is working alright.

Sounds to me like that map might be using something that your graphics card doesn't support, but that's just a shot in the dark. Maybe you could try turning your graphic settings down to the lowest possible (in game, I mean) and disabling any graphics features that are currently enabled and see if that help?
