Download Issues for EAW Clone Wars Mod Thread

I'm not the best at downloading mods, although I did download Republic at War successfully. With this one that is posted on Mod DB community, the Clone Wars Version 4.0. I need help installing this, as I have no idea what I am doing wrong. I download the file it says to download, which takes about 882.97mb (not an issue), and once it's downloaded, I'm not sure what else to do after that.

Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED

You mean this file? You should first find some software that can unpack the WinRAR archive files.

Should be the right tool. Just you just need to install one of these and then the computer should patch the controls to your file menu. That is, you just need to double-click on the Clone Wars mod file and extract the mod. I believe the folder inside the archive should be extracted to the "Mods" folder in the installation folder of your Star Wars RTS game. Then you should make use of the executable file that was attached to the mod.

Post here if the problem is solved or if there are any further issues.

Thanks for moving it, and the help! So I installed the .exe from the 7-Zip link. Now when you say extract, you mean move it to the Folder of the EAW game, correct? I suck at computer lingo hahahahaa

It is a long time since I played EAW.

Inside the folder of the EAW game there should be a lot of different folders, speech folder, movies folder, the binary folder and so on. There should be also a "Mods" folder. If it does not exist, create it and unpack the Clone Wars mod FOLDER inside it. It should be something like this:

C:/Your_Drive/Star Wars: Empire At War/Mods/Clone Wars/

I'm not sure if I found the right EAW folder. Didn't see anything that said speech, movies, etc. I did, however, see a bunch of files that had Clone War Unit names in my computer.

Do you have Xbox live or something we could communicate in? Or a video I can follow haha, I am literally computer illiterate

Well good news and bad news. Good news is is that I already have Republic at War, and it works (with the exception of a few freezes). The other mod did download, ended up downloading the installer, and I was able to play for a little bit before it kept freezing :/

No, that's the mod I want to download and can't figure out how to.

I think you should redirect this question to the mod team if you have problems with the constant freezings during play.

If I have RAW downloaded, am I not able to play any other mods?

No, you need to set them up via a custom shortcut. In most cases it should work. Find a team to help you, I'm kind of not very familiar with this game.
