Hi IndieDB! Over the weekend I finished the first draft of the main character for my game, "Charisma the (Space) Chameleon"

She's made in Blender, and that screenshot is running in the browser (WebGL/ThreeJS). What do you think of her animation? I think the jumping could definitely use some tweaking.

Here's a gif of the gameplay (couldn't figure out how to upload it) Twitter.com . Charisma shrinks forever to navigate a maze. The game infinitely zooms in, which took a while to program.

Just completed a big refactor to give Charisma the ability to talk with speech bubbles

Woah how has no one responded to this yet? This looks pretty cool! The dialog looks great, I looks like good attention to detail with the animations. Reminds me of old school character dialog. That gameplay gif is pretty crazy. Shrinking forever? Sounds like you could play with a fractal theme. What about growing forever?

What about growing forever?

Other people have asked about that too. Yes, it's possible to grow forever as well. I plan for each "book" to have a series of themed chapters, usually where you scale in one direction. As in there might be one book where you shrink forever, and another where you grow forever. And in some levels, you can do both, where you shrink to solve part of the level, then grow to solve another part.

If you want to sign up for updates, I just finished the homepage Charismachameleon.com the demo will be posted there too when it's ready.

Screenshot saturday! Working on level backgrounds to show scale. In the screencap background 1 is nebula, background 2 is galaxy

All the shaders are open source on ShaderFrog:

One more screenshot, starting to add more gameplay elements before the demo launch

What do you think? I think the button could use a decal to indicate what it might do.
