Founded in November of 2007, redMatter has been home to highly talented indie developers with experience working on some of the most popular mods including Sven Co-op, Zombie Panic: Source, Insurgency, Dystopia, Decadence, Resistance & Liberation and many more.
In June of 2009, the rM team kick-started planning and development of its own Source-based modification. Overwatch was announced and released to the public only a year later, followed by several major updates. It was a complete success, having been downloaded over 90,000 times and nominated to ModDB's Top 100 Mods of 2010 just six months after the initial announcement.
Developing Overwatch helped rM build momentum, a loyal community and a strong presence. The team has since been working on a proof of concept for a slightly larger-scale independent title with commercial potential (powered by Epic's Unreal Engine), which is planned to be announced in the coming weeks.
