Founded in November of 2007, redMatter has been home to highly talented indie developers with experience working on some of the most popular mods including Sven Co-op, Zombie Panic: Source, Insurgency, Dystopia, Decadence, Resistance & Liberation, and many more.

In June of 2009, the rM team kick-started planning and development of its own Source-based modification. Overwatch was announced and released to the public only a year later, followed by several major updates. It has since been downloaded over 100,000 times.
