Overview
Artificial Selection is an experimental 2D top-down shooter where every gameplay feature evolves using machine learning algorithms. That's right, the enemies, weapons, and even maps will evolve depending on your choices and how you play. Artificial Selection also provides an infinite variety of strategies with billions of possible weapon combinations to choose from.
Current Features
How Enemies EvolveIn Artificial Selection the enemy robots get harder the more you play. But this isn't through simply increasing enemy stats, these guys will actually learn new and better strategies according to how you fight them. The game learns which enemy behaviors and weaponry that you have the most trouble with, and will continue to replicate and mutate them, causing an artificial selection of enemy units.
So how do you defeat enemies who adapt to your strategies? Adapt to theirs! Find out what counters their strategies and weaponry, and use it to your advantage. Having trouble with fireball-shooting enemies? Get a Pneumatic Cannon or Sonic Minigun and deflect their fireballs back at them! Or use the environment to your advantage by hiding behind movable crates or even destroying walls to create alternate paths to sneak up on your foes!
