Reuploaded here for preservation. Adds a variety of WWII-era SS personnel for the player to shoot at for Ravenfield.
This mod was recently removed from Steam due to "WW2 German content" to censor the term - which is odd given everybody else's WWII German skins (and the rest of mine) are just fine and dandy. So if you really want them, you can find them here.
With all these new WWII skins coming out, I figured it only just that I remake my fairly faulty SS and Heer skins, so I'll be working on those for a bit. Several suggestions were made on my old one and have now been included, such as tropical and winter variants, an additional camouflaged skin, an officer, and yes, the black uniform you all for some reason really like. Also this isn't all Waffen-SS as you get the VT as well, which granted those regiments merged into the W-SS. Unlike the previous one with a measly four skins, now you get 11 to bloat your loading screen up with!
Units:
Fourteen skins are included in this addon:
SS - Parade Dress
This is the ideal one to shoot in the face, the edgy black uniform with an armband and a 1933 dagger, the model's good enough to be its own melee weapon! Careful though, you won't just cut yourself on that dagger, but also the edge of the skin too! Oh and I guess technically you could do something Wolfenstein-ish with him.- Waffen-SS Officer
An officer of the W-SS with the M35 officer jacket and a pistol holster, that's about it. He's a pretty simple skin, but people wanted officers in my packs so eat him up.- Waffen-SS (Early)
SS mann sporting an M36/9 feldbluse, M37 stone gray trousers, and a double decal stahlhelm; as the name says, early WW2- Waffen-SS (LSSAH)
As above, but laggier and better. Has LAH cyphers on the shoulder straps and a cuff title, this cuff title is actually 3D in the first person viewmode, including each individual letter. I'm extremely pleased with how that process turned out given the trouble it caused me. Oh and his helmet is single decal- SS-VT
Verfügungstruppe unit, based on the third regiment 'DF' and as such, cyphers and cuff title, as above but slightly different. He also has a buttoned-up M37 feldbluse, which yes, they were meant to be worn open, but you could close them because I suck at open collars.- Waffen-SS (Mid - Spring)
Deploys a camouflaged smock and helmet cover in greens for spring and summer- Waffen-SS (Mid - Autumn)
[list]
As the one is above, but orange tones from his reversible smock and helmet cover- Waffen-SS Late
Later period SS soldier sporting Erbsenmuster/Erbsentarn/Pea-Dot/Dot-44/whateverelseyouwanttocallit jacket with a five button front, which is correct to SS-patterned jackets. The helmet is not the same camo pattern because one, they generally weren't issued matching camo very often, and two, dot helmets have no evidence of existing. So don't ask me to make one.- Waffen-SS Winter
An SS soldier sporting a mouse gray parka, winter trousers, and a helmet probably painted white.- Waffen-SS Tropical
Shamefully just a tweak to my Luftwaffe tropical skin, but more edgy because SS- Waffen-SS NCO
Just minor edits to my early W-SS, including NCO tresse on the collar and shoulderboards, he also sports the 1939 EK II on his breast pocket.- Waffen-SS (Hohenstaufen)
Based on the 9th SS division.- Waffen-SS (Nordland)
A foreign SS unit, with the Norwegian sleeve title, M40 gear.- Waffen-SS (Totenkopf)
The 3rd SS-Panzer division during the early war years.Early period stuff looks more detailed as I have several repro early tunics to model off of, however SS generally employed camouflage in combat conditions in almost every period of the war. The black uniform probably would never have seen combat, but enough people nagged me into making it, so I'm sure you'll find some use for it. These are pretty high-detail skins, they work fine for me, but if your computer is an IBM cash register, proceed with caution.
This addon does not endorse the NSDAP, crimes committed by the Waffen-SS, or any other part of the Third Reich, and is purely made for historical intent. The addon features swastikas and runes, I will censor them if this violates RF Workshop policy. Yes I basically just copied my HARP disclaimer and tweaked it.
This addon was originally released on the Steam Workshop on the 13th of May, 2020.
