Post news Report RSS Why Rhodoks

Many of you asked me what the rhodoks are in XI in Lain, and here is the answer!

Posted by on

The Rhodoks rebelled about 20 years before the action in Warband. But what? Why would a people's group fight against their brothers, with whom they fought wars, conquered countries and so. Something is wrong!
The Rhodoks had once been a land of their own, which has lost a war against the Vlandians, and is now suppressed. And here they are in XI in Latin. They are a bunch of naughty against the riders of the Vlandians. You have completly other weapons. These clans have even condemned themselves. You must imagine the Rhodoks like the mountain bandits. Fur coats, round shields, swords and bows. As you see nothing to fight against riders.

If Bannerlord is set 200 years before Warband, and this mod plays exactly 10 years before Bannerlord, how did the Rhodoks rebel about 20 years before Warband?

This means they would have to exist in Bannerlord, which they do not. You're saying they rebelled 20 years before Warband, so that puts their rebellion 190 years away from the time your mod is set in?

To put it simpler, if they exist in your mod, they should exist in Bannerlord as well which they do not. The Rhodoks were a Swadian rebellion, but Swadia does not exist in Bannerlord yet, so they can't have rebelled. I don't think your timeline is on spot at all, mate.

No, I think you got something wrong. The Rhodoks are NOW STILL independent. But they will soon be defeated. The Vlandians will occupy the mountains and exploit the Rhodoks. 20 years before Warband, the Rhodoks are sorry to serve the Swadians. It comes to rebellion. The rebellion to independence happened 190 years later. But now they are still quite barbaric.

What about the Northern Empire? There was at least three empires of Calradia that was formed in the Bannerlord that we know in development by Taleworlds. The Northern, Western and Southern Empires. Unless you are making it different. I ain't sure.

The Rhodoks were once subjects of the Swadians, but successfully fought a war for independence under the military leadership of Grunwalder. The Rhodoks later built Grunwalder Castle in his honor, on the site where he fell in battle.

Bunduk recounts how a war veteran named Grunwalder came "over the hills" after the war and taught the Rhodoks the art of war to defend themselves against the Swadians, effectively becoming an ancestral hero to the Rhodok people. Grunwalder would die in the rebellion he started, but his memory would live on as the Rhodoks swore never to bow to any king again. The Rhodoks built Grunwalder Castle at the place where Grunwalder fell in battle as a celebration of his contributions.

The Swadian kingdom is made to have taken place after the events of Bannerlord, emerging out of the kingdom of the Vlandians

And the year in Mount and Blade Warband is 1257, so how can Rhodoks have existed? They didn't remember? 200 years before is 1057. If it was 20 years before Bannerlord, it would be 1237. Unless it is the last years of Bannerlord...before the rise of Warband...
