Update on the video contest 2011 news

Hello everyone!

I'll post an update and reminder on the Vector Prime Video Contest 2011. I know that several people are working on videos, but might not finish them before the deadline. That's why I'll update the terms on the video contest, together with other details.

Video Contest Rules

• Videos can be submitted until any of these 2 conditions is met:
• The date is 1 november.
• 3 Videos have been submitted and no one has notified that they're working on a video.
• Once one of the 2 conditions above is met, the views of each video gets noted down. This amount will be taken from the views at the end of the 'contest time'.
• Videos must get the most views in the month following the end of the submit period.
• Once the contest time is done, winners will be announced.
• Contestants must submit their videos to be included in the counting in the thread before the submit time ends.

Video Contest Winner Decision

• There are 2 measurements for score: Jury score, and viewer approval.
• Viewer Approval: Every video gets a score from 0 to 20, which is determined by the percent they got in the period of the total amount of views from each video.
• Viewer approval video views time is determined by the video of each contestant which has the most views.
• Jury score is determined a bit more complicated, but also on a scale from 0 to 20. It is determined by the following areas:
• Story Driven Videos:
• - Story cohesion.
• - Story execution.
• - Camerawork quality.
• - Video compilation quality.
• - MU4 Content %.
• - Boredom + Length (Longer videos which won't get boring score higher).
• Gameplay videos (Tributes, trailers, etc)
• - Camerawork.
• - Video compilation.
• - MU4 Content %.
• - Boredom + Length.
• - Excitement (How much it encourages an interested person to go play).

Each video gets on each area a score from 0 to 20. Average all those scores, and that average which gets out of that, gets combined with the Viewer Approval score. The highest score of that gets the prize.Well, about the prize actually. The terms for that have also changed. Here they are:

• 1st Prize is for the worth of €30,-.
• 1st Prize may be any amount of games, gifted or for yourself, up to the combined worth of €30,-.
• 2nd Prize is for the worth of €15,-.
• 2nd Prize may also be any amount of games, gifted, or for yourself.
• 1st and 2nd prize may be redeemed on GOG, Steam, Desura & Gamersgate.
• 3rd Prize is a free copy of Haegemonia Gold on GOG.com, which may be gifted or may be redeemed by yourself.

This means that the latest date at which the contest winners will be declared, is the 1st of december.
