Check out some of the new customization options we are working on.
As always, keep in mind this is a work in progress, and they aren't yet finished. This is the first stage of blocking and is mainly used for testing, so they will still undergo a lot of polishing and have adjustments to their design. With that said, let's talk more about the process! We are also eager to hear your feedback on this.
As you can see, we want players to choose whichever hairstyles or any customization option that they feel like, without any gender locking. This way, everyone can create their character the way it makes them happy. The creation process doesn't differ too much from one heritage to the other: the most significant difference, for now, is that some have more adornments than others. We are planning on having "suggestions" for what each heritage would most likely use, but we want you to be free to choose what pleases you the most, no matter the suggestion.
After this stage, we will work on a high poly version, which looks a lot better. After getting that ready and seeing we are happy with the results, then move on to make them game-ready.
Before reaching what you see here, our 2D artists come up with concepts first. If the concepts are approved, we then proceed to create their 3D blocks.
Gabriela Gasparini (Gabs) and Rodrigo Reis (Rod) were the artists responsible for the art you see in this video, and we are thrilled with how it's turning out. We had a chat with Gabs about how this process was for her, and she shared that her favorite was working on Lerga's standard hairstyles because she loves how some have the ends of their hair curled, which was fun to work on. However, Liber is closer to being her favorite heritage because she likes the "forest" theme about them.
