there's always a moment, at least for me, that i go back and look at stuff that has already been done for the project, and think "this looks like shit". this moment has arrived. but its good, i think. it always make me push things a little further. so what i have been doing the past 2 days is upgrading the first 2 levels. the cave and the ruins. getting them a bit closer to what i want for the final game.

it also has to do with the fact that i have been play testing a lot the last couple of days. playing through the first 60% of the game. looking at these levels repeatedly. and thinking, theres something missing here. BUT, there needs to be a balance between always wanting to make things better and accepting something and letting it go. or else the game will never get released.

not really a fair comparison for the ruins. this image is REALLY old. but its a good example of how far you can go with pretty much the same assets, but with tweaks and LIGHTING.

lighting + more texture work + a couple more 3D models to help a bit.
Looks so much better. Good work.
