Post news RSS Side-Runner Update #03

This update includes many little things as well as a few big things, I learned a lot while making my way from the last update up to this one, I hope it shows!

I will not being adding images to the article itself, since the image system whilst editing is really hard and confusing to use, if you want to see visuals, either look at the screenshots of the game, or check out this video:


This update...
- Added a main menu
- Main menu has a start game and exit button so far
- Nicer looking font
- Working coin/point system
- 1 coin = 1 point
- Working lives system
- 10 points = 1 extra life
- If you die, you lose a point and a life
- Modified the levels
- If you have 0 lives, you get a game over screen, and you are then sent to the main menu.

This is the biggest update so far, I hope you are liking my work so far, if you have any questions or suggestions, please, don't be afraid to ask or suggest.

What features do you have planned? This looks like a solid platformer base as is.

I'm not sure, I don't plan things, unless it's something like a life system or basic things, anything else, I just do, when I'm sitting down working on it, I just do what comes.
But maybe some more cosmetic changes would be my next move.

I'm suggesting you should implement a spring camera, which is a camera that moves into position over time.
