Rolo Polo Updates Although we have not been updating recently Carpe Noctem Coding has been hard at work migrating Rolo Polo to the Unity 5 game engine platform. I am pleased to announce this migration is going smoothly and swiftly.

Although we have not been updating recently Carpe Noctem Coding has been hard at work migrating Rolo Polo to the Unity 5 game engine platform. I am pleased to announce this migration is going smoothly and swiftly.

Player Controller successfully migrated (and re-coded) to use the new Network Behavior offered by Unity 5. Performance should be immensely better than the old network system. This includes the use of Command and ClientRPC functions as well as the new network animator module.

The gameplay will be similar to the alpha release however, we are making a couple of substantial changes.

Directions – Players can now walk 360 degrees, no longer limited to four directions, players can move at any angle permitted by the input device (the keyboard will only have eight directions, a joystick will be continuous) and throw objects in whatever direction they are moving.

This is a radical shift from the first concept of the game but we felt that it would increase the enjoyment.
