Hey everyone! We have some great news and a quick update.
First the news, we have recently changed the name of the game from OutReach to 'OutReach Dex's Odyssey' also known as ODO for short. We felt it would help define this game and really emphasize Dex's journey.
For the quick update, we have been doing a ton of work for ODO in the past few weeks and are coming close to the end of the development cycle. It's been very exciting seeing something so simple and plain evolve into a beautiful piece of art!
Sonny and I have been putting our all into the artwork and animation and really love what we have finished. Sonny, taking time between Kings games to dish out some fantastic prop designs and animation. Myself furiously painting between UEFA Euro soccer matches.
Trevor and on occasion Ram have been kicking butt with the code and the game runs smoother then ever. I don't understand what they do too well so I am assuming they used some kind of wizard powers to make the game work. I have walked in on Trevor in total darkness chanting about some zeroes and ones...
So what's the plan from here? Well, to help us get the show on the road, I will be adding a prelude to ODO here on Indiedb that tells the back story of how Dex started his crusade to find humanity. It should be uploaded in the next day or so and stay tuned for a ton of artwork to be deposited here as well. We really want to show off all the cool things we have been adding to ODO.
Lastly, Dex has started his own twitter account posting journal entries of his attempts at rebuilding his life and the discoveries of the new world around him. Follow him here @Outreach_Dex.
