This week, we made a lot of bug fixes, updated UI and sprites, and added more juice!

New additions

We added various trap arrangements to keep the map more dynamic. This makes players navigate around the map differently to avoid falling into the same patterns of movement. We added a UI to show teams how close they are to winning from holding crystals. We added more sound effects to make gameplay more engaging. We improved the feel of the hook by modifying distance, speed, and size. The menu screen received an update to match the theme of our game. Also, we changed the teleport to a dash because the teleport mechanic was hard for players to use in playtesting. Dashing is more intuitive. To add more interesting decisions, we allow players to save their teammates that fall into traps. This adds more to player objectives.

Next week, we plan to improve the tutorial, add more juice and visual effects, improve the map by adding more aesthetics and pillars, and balancing the game more.
