Source code released

Building a UDK game is really hard work. We've been working on this one for a year and we know that most teams will face huge problems, with few documentation being available. So, we decided to make our own work available for everyone.
You can get our code on GitHub : click here !

This is not all of it, only the most interesting bits. The full line count goes as high as 13,000 lines in four different languages, and we will add even more in the upcoming months. We hope to make other game makers happy with this, sharing our knowledge is a great reward for all our work.

A work in progress

Our game is not finished yet. We are still working on the level production, fixing various bugs and implementing required features such as spectating a game, dropping a flag or setting up the field of vision.

Most of the game is currently working, we are testing it out on a regular basis with selected players so that bugs are quickly found and fixed. We plan to release DeepVoid this year.

Want more ?

Please check out our website if you want to know everything about our game !
You can find us on deepvoid.eu and on Facebook, if you don't mind French content.

Thats very nice ! i took a quick look at the 3D Interface stuff and while i t was a bit confused could you guys give me a little hand?

Im doing an simple 3d interface in short an 3d model of an journal with buttons etc on the player can interact with , while i was using scaleform for this since the player must be able to interact with his mouse on it and scaleform doesnt support mouse input for some reason when an movie is rendered in a surface trough a texture render target wich is what i was doing

i havent been able to find a workarround and its really driving me insane

That is indeed hard to do with Scaleform, a workaround is to simply use the keyboard like most Scaleform games do.
