As part of the push towards the release of the History of the Demon Girl demo, I'm going to be releasing a lot more music, screenshots, and general art updates in the next few days!

To start, here's a new track from the game entitled "Thaw." During this song, the player is introduced to Roku, our heroine. She is released from her bondage in Hell and that's where our story begins:

Just so that it's not all about the soundtrack, I thought I would throw in a few new screen shots from the game, along with the progression of Roku's running cycle. I think you'll really appreciate how far the game has come. Here are the screenshots:

And here is the animation progression. First the prototype, Redrun1 and his more intent brother Redrun2:

Then the transitions from Redrun to Roku. She gained a face and skin tone, then some bad hair, then some better hair, then a smoothed out body:

Next she got a bit of a tan and a lousy dress, followed by a hefty haircut since her hair just wasn't working. Then...well *cough* we won't talk about the accidental Marge Simpson look... (Sorry, Roku!!!) After that she got some nice wavy hair, and then it was broken up a bit and the shading was toned down:

Finally, the sprite was given slightly more definition:

And that's where she's at now! Hope you enjoyed this journey. It's been a very long one and there are many more little variations of our demon girl, but "Ain't nobody got time for dat!" I also want to mention that I would never have come this far had it not been for the amazing help from the good people at PixelJoint. It's a tremendous community and the WIP forum is extremely helpful - I really can't recommend it enough. (THANK YOU!!!)

If you like what you read/saw/heard, become a watcher! I'm thankful for every one of you!

Until next time!
