Hello there, stellar sailor
Hello there, stellar sailor
That's a nice fleet.
One thing I really did appreciate from Rebels was making the Dreadnought look slightly less phallic. I see that now, compared to the classic.
Everything went downhill when the Republic decided to start recruiting necromorphs into the army.
That doesn't work for everyone, at least for workshop versions.
Sounds great, but what about the old Orion dialogue? I kinda liked the old dialogue and its Blade Runner references...
EDIT: Oh wait, this is a different type of ships? never mind, Blade Runner stays! (I'm guessing)
I adore this mod and it does pain me so that I know nothing of modding EaW.
Still, you're doing a damn good job with this mod, we're all very excited for the next release.
I like this, reminds me of Men of War.
I've waited close to four, and we can wait a little longer...
Crap, completely forgot about this comment.. errrr, oops... Still need help?
Right, If I remember right, 2.50 comes with a German installer and a "MASTERTEXTFILE_ENGLISH.DAT"?
Run the German installer, German's similar to English but even if you can't MacGyver out what any of it says just click where "next" would be on an English installer.
All you need to do is make sure it's going to the Corruption folder, that would be in: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\star wars empire at war\corruption"
Next you'll want to go into "star wars empire at war\corruption\Data\XML\AI" and rename the folder called "PERCEPTUALEQUATIONS-AotR2.50" so that it's just "PERCEPTUALEQUATIONS".
Next you'll want to go to "star wars empire at war\corruption\Data\Text" and get rid of the "MASTERTEXTFILE_GERMAN.DAT" and replace it with the "MASTERTEXTFILE_ENGLISH.DAT" you got with the mod.
Next you'll want to go into "star wars empire at war\corruption\Data\Audio\Speech" and there should be a folder called "German," rename that to "English"
Finally, do the step I said in my first comment, but replace the "AotR2.60" with "AotR2.05". I feel like an idiot for missing that in your first comment.
Now if all that's too complex, or I'm just too bad of a writer for you to make heads or tales of it (that would be understandable XD), I recommend installing 2.60 as you don't have to do ANY of what I have written aside from setting the Steam launch options, and possibly removing the "AotR" from PERCEPTUALEQUATIONS, though it isn't as stable a version as 2.05.
I hope this helps and am sincerely sorry at how bad I am at explaining things...
For Steam, after installing, you need to set the launch options.
Right click on EaW in your Steam library, click properties, then click Set Launch Options and type in "sweaw MODPATH=Mods\AotR2.60" (without quotes).
Hope that helps.
I'm sorry, everyone makes minor mistakes once in a while (and I make them a lot), but when I read that title the first thing that popped into my head was "the truck have started to move..." XD
If only I had the remotest bit of modding experience, or the time to invest in it...
I'll focus all my brain energy on telepathically supporting you guys!
*Telepathic support intensifies*
You need to set the launch options for Steam, which it tells you what to do in the install guide.
Right click "Star Wars: Empire at War Gold," click properties, then click "Set launch options" and type in "sweaw MODPATH=Mods\Republic_At_War" (sans quotes), and launch Forces of Corruption and it will launch Republic at War.
Hope that helps.
Nothing else. All you need is the base game and Forces of Corruption, which is easy to get via the Star Wars Empire at War Gold Edition on Steam.
I believe they're already in-game. If I remember right, they spawn like civilian units when fighting a land battle on Coruscant, though they're not buildable.
As much as I hated the chip thing too, I have to admit those were some of the best episodes of the series, so for me that almost made up for that, even if I thought it was a bit "boring" compared to the idea of them just following orders...
I don't think that would work for this mod. The Clone Wars mod is designed for that and delivers (most of the time); but Republic at War isn't designed for that, and it probably wouldn't work out that well.
I do think they should update their ground forces a bit, maybe making the legions trainable platoons, instead of single units. In my opinion that'd be a lot better.
Or hell, at least the ability to build platoons of the default infantry instead of single squads only, like you have to when you reach final tech.
His skin appears as the Clone Commander unit on certain types of planets(along with other Clone Commanders for other types of worlds).
You don't need the 501st Legion to see 'him'.
And I REALLY regretted not typing that about an hour after I wrote my suggestion.
That being said, "From Ashes" isn't that bad grammatically... kinda.
While in my personal opinion the ground combat is better in the Clone Wars mod, basically everything else is better here.
RaW looks better, it has vastly better space combat, better AI, and it's also a LOT more polished.
Don't get me wrong, the Clone Wars mod is fun and worth playing, but overall Republic at War wins out.
I suppose RaW has a big advantage in that it has more than one developer, while I believe the Clone Wars mod only has one.
That would actually be pretty funny, and also literal.
"From Ashes"
It's simple and gets the point across... And it also kinda sounds cool.
Ah, yeah that would be what Jawa was talking about. I believe they're trying to improve the optimization, or at the very least, have a new GC that should run better on low end computers.
Oh gods, those faces are creepy! This is why we Canadians have Thanksgiving months ago!
What's with Ahsoka's expression? She's taking sadistic pleasure in the cutting of that turkey...
Burn it! Burn it with fire!
Oh, and happy late Thanksgiving, guys... That too...
It's because you have the Polish version. I believe the way to fix it would be to change your base game version to English, then re-install the mod.
I hope that helps, I believe that should work as it is a localization problem.
Do you mean it just becomes too choppy, like frame rate wise? or do you mean the freeze bug? because if you're having trouble with the latter, try the defreezer the Thrawn's Revenge people made.
Moddb.com
It works with any mod so it's friendly for Awakening of the Rebellion, too, in case you were worried.
But if it is just frame rate troubles, then yeah, what Jawafreak said.
