There is no demo planned at the moment, sorry for this. Actually I really would like to offer a demo, but it is not possible at this point.

Hi, I would like to comment on your definition of "indie". I agree that this label is strangely mis-interpreted sometimes.
I dont know the economy of Wolfire well enough - but being a game developer myself I must say that $ 50.000 are basically not that much in the development process of a game like Overgrowth. I would still regard the Overgrowth developers as "indie": I assume they have not big studio or big money in their back and do the development of this game mainly at their own risk.
In my definition a game is "indie" when
a) the developers try to explore something new and take the risk that there will be no mass market
b) the developers have no big studio or other big money in their back and work with a relatively high risk.
There are actually many "indie" developers who just try to develop the next Angry Birds; I dont know if I really would label these as "indie".
Thank you very much for notifying me and for the screenshot. I contacted the Desura support for this. Hope they will resolve it soon.
yes, there should be a Link Sky Alchemist Beta on the right hand side, right under "Releases". This should appear if you are logged in and have purchased the 1.0 version. Please let me know if this is not the case, then I would need to contact desura.
This I can not say now, without totally spoil the story.
And the Troubles are a really specific problem of their world.
Yeah, life on Sky is not easy. At least not if you are a native to the Colonies (as opposed to being a "Victorian")
Thanks, I'm glad I could help. Enjoy the the game!
Hi, I just put 2 screenshots "Liquid collector" into our gallery that should show how it works best: Liquids have to "run into" the sponge. This can happen from all 3 sides of the sponge. So the trick is to direct the liquids right to the sponge, for example by using walls. Hope this helps.

I am one of the 2 developers of Sky Alchemist - yes we are a really tiny indie games company. I was mainly working on the game's UI stuff, which was quite fun, because we did everything in a really beautiful Steampunk theme. Before I became a Software Developer I graduated from History. Im quite into 19th century literature. So, making a Steampunk game and doing the historical research for it was really like a dream coming true.
