I have noticed many people don't like the AI because of it's Epic fleet spam and it's gigantic economy however i got this hologram from my past experience i like to share with the GAR commanders out there!
Also please note this will be quite long sorry for that and this is how to beat that CIS AI "imo"

In the GC i use this strategy to counter the CIS fleet spam as GAR, ( it works but you need to be fast and alert) So Bespin is the GAR CASH center no suprise there neither is that Mygeeto is the CIS GOLD center.
So you should build venator cruisers at the Three primary planets and as luck would have it the Three planets is in the heart of GAR: Coruscant, Kuat and Duro allthough Kuat can't produce venators Before you upgrade the station so do it quickly.
So here are some steps i do to survive and fight on to save the galaxy as GAR.
Step1. Build Refinery at Bespin, you gotta do it as soon as you start the game it will give you 4030 income!
Step2. Take Fresia and Hoth Before the CIS just to show you are awesome (And give them some ideas to attack Hoth since it's...no mans land. Step3. Take over Foerost i usually use the commandos :P they are THE unit to use since they are freaking commandos ;). Step4. start build Venators at Coruscant and Duro. Step4. build AT KAMINO a Light facility and a ARC Commando facility why? because you need to defend Kamino also i strongly suggest you defend ROTHANA with GROUND forces facilities etc.
By now you probably getting a few venators, build some support ships like light frigate and have a decent flow of income and if lucky the CIS haven't attacked yet, if they do please ignore all outer rim planets personally i try to defend Mon cal and Kashyyk with ground as much as i can, CIS Ai usually like to attack ROTHANA, KAMINO, MON CAL and KASHYYK so if you can defend these planets you are pretty safe from other invasions. Step5. attack and take over Mygeeto it will give you extra cash and the CIS will lose income in it's wallet! By now i guess you lost Hoth, honoghr and some other planets but you will have a nice number of venators guarding Bespin, Duro and the other core Worlds and if you Think you can withstand an attack build an army and show those CIS that you can and will fight back, GOOD LUCK COMMANDER!
Well that's how i do it, hope this will help some people in their conquest for the galaxy.

it would not suprise me if people still bought CK2 5 years from now just for this Epic mod!

Well thats the entire region of "the Twins" ^^ so its probably 2 Castles if you click on the region you just dont see it since the map shows regions/Fief areas.

Its a shame its only Space :/ the models looks so Epic and i would have love GC and ground battles. still even tho its only space battles its better then 90% of the mods out there (my opinion since im a KOTOR era FREAK!) Very nicely done.

Have you tried double click on any unit picture? i usually get that sometimes that i cant select my space units but i can do it after i double click on the Picture and it doesnt coming back until couple of hours after that. (had same problem on vanilla so i dont Think its a RAW bug)

Well Irish i tell you if you play as the Republic (And dont have the spam fighter threat like the Cis in space) but i got a good tactic for you.
If you play from Tech 1 you gotta do this (since starting in Tech 1 is the HARDEST you can do as Republic) you need to research FAST and protect your capital planets ( Core planets)Just build some ships and think more about defend the planet with troops since obvs you are "Bantha food in space" ;)
CIS will attack you yes but usually the outer rim planets like Rhen Var, Mon Calamari, Kamino Etc. But that will also work in your favor! DO not build ships on those planets its just throwing credits away however building an army on Mon Calamari and Kamino let you fight and hopefully win over any invasion forces the tinnies throws at ya, CIS will continue to attack Kamino and Mon Cal several times if you are able to hold them, that means the other planets are safe for now, sometimes they are obsessed with Kamino and Mon Cal and sometimes the Droids actually "think" oh wait its Grevious who does that nvm. Anyway defend those 2 planets and your Core worlds ( Courscant,Kuat,Alderran and the other planets close to Courscant) and research to Tech 4 Fast so you can get your VENATORS since you really need those. If you start on Tech 4 well do the same thing as i have said except now you need to build both ground and space Spam Venators like hell for maximum defence problem with $$ you say? Conquer MYGEETO and have an army defending it you dont just cripple the CIS income you will boost your own ;) Mygeeto is the first target you have to take hopefully right away or 3-5 days after start, you can try to do it when you play on Tech 1 but ive never succeded with it and Won the war. ( i usually do this and its my tactic you might like it or not) Good Luck and hope my advice will help you as a Republic General. PS: Sorry that the text are so Huge.

You might wanna fix so you can have fullscreen, be able to save and load since is quite boring if you got far into the game and need to shut down the game.

Was intrsting and it is intresting still its sad that i keep missing and the ai keeps hitting 9/10 shots it do, if you attack with 3 destroyer ships vs a bas with 2 defensive gun platforms you got overwhelming odds in winning 380 Power vs their 70 power still you with 380P lose vs the ai little 70P its kinda bad that it happens like that, Still a good game tho.
