I just finished reading this kinetic novel and I am thoroughly impressed. Thank you to all involved in composing this work.

It is a great story sending out a powerful message.

The game was tested on Ubuntu 12.04 32-bit. I downloaded the Linux package from Marcel Wayers' website, extracted it, and ran This Is Where I Want To Die.sh through the terminal.

Fix: Discover where you unpacked Desura when you downloaded it and navigate to it.

cd $/desura/common/one-late-night/Build10
chmod +x OneLateNight.x86

Simply highlight the file, click enter and hopefully happy gaming! Also if you are lucky the Desura library launcher icon will also function.

I am unable to start the game through the Desura library. I tried running a verification of the files but this did not solve the problem.

I am currently running Ubuntu 12.04 32-bit.

I just finished the game.

Considering it is only beta - and FREE of course - I found it a great joy to play!

The problems I experienced in the game: Some spelling mistakes/grammar, some objects could be passed through, Chapter 2 was incredibly laggy (graphical lag) and the distortion effect I found disorientating, personally. That said, the problems were not enough to make me quit considering the game is free and a labour of love.

Thank you to all involved for the creation of this game!

On a side note: The game was tested on Ubuntu 12.04 - full specs on request.

Currently the game is around 700MiB. It should about 5 mins all going well. 10 mins tops.

I tested the game with various Ubuntu 64 bit operating systems and in all cases found that the game would not even initiate from the Desura game library.

My only suggestion would be to play the game on a 32-bit operating system if you have the luxury to do so.

Good luck,
John

Ubuntu compatibility thus far:

I have tested 13.10 and 12.04 - 32 bit operating systems. The game functions well on both.

Loading times between chapters can be long but this is only frustrating because the screen goes completely black without explanation. However, not a big deal in beta.

The game is great so far!
