Actually, you can get as close as you can! The whole idea behind Fray was to find a way to speed up TBS games and make them much more dynamic, hence the simultaneous system :)

We are preparing a big update for the game come september and will do a big post with videos to present the changes :)

We are currently working on a Single Player Training map, against both Static targets and AI Turrets. We are also working on AI bots for single player skirmishes.

The beta is still open until tomorrow :)

This is our VR environment, looks even better animated as the ground moves, there are wireframes that jiggle about and it is overall strange :D

The beta will be available for download and play on the 16th of May. Just a couple of days wait and you'll be able to play Fray! :)

Once you have registered the game on fray-game.com, you receive a second CD key by email. This Key can then be used to activate a second account and download on Desura.

For 20$ you get 2 games, so technically, a single game is 10$! At Beta we will be ramping up the price to release price of 25$, still with the 2 for 1 deal. At release, the game will be however sold as a stand alone.

Fray is multiplayer only, we don't have any AI in the game at the moment.

You should get the extra key when you register your account on fray-game.com. The key is sent to the email used to register.

Can't say you'll find a game any time of night and day, but you can often find a game with players chatting with us in our chatroom (http://www.fray-game.com/community/chat/). Combine that with the free second game to play with a friend, our test sessions twice a week, and our growing player base, you should find a game :)

REMINDER: There is an issue with X86 Windows. Players with Windows XP32bit / Windows Vista 32bit /Windows 7 32Bit won't be able to play. Working to resolve this issue ASAP.

No vehicles atm, but it something we were thinking of for an expansion (Ghost in the Shell type military mechas... drools!), but we do have stationary equipment like turrets!

Hi WakeyBakey, as the launch of Fray is just a few days old, we still have only few players online at a time (especially, just idly waiting for a game.). However we often have our players talking with us in our chatroom, and always happy to join a game.
We also have our testing sessions on Wednesday evenings and Saturday afternoon, where most players join to Fray together, and we have a much bigger turn-up there.
This will of course get better as time goes on!

All players connect to our own dedicated server, so you don't have to worry about hosting your own game. Currently most players find a game partner by joining our chatroom on Fray-game.com , were a few people hang around. This is the very beginning of the Alpha (2 days old!), so it is a growing community, with each day, new players to join the fray!

Preparing a video, dunno when it will be finished though cause I have to take care of the game at the same time. Hopefully by the end of the week end!

It is a multiplayer game yes. Solo might come at some point, but it won't be for a long time, sorry.

So, if Steam works like Desura, then yes, absolutely, we will be able to match our CD Key database with theirs. I heard Frozen Synapse did it so I don't see why not. Of course that pends on Steam accepting us there!
For the single player, there won't be a campaign. There will be a single player scenario that will act as a tutorial to guide players through their first steps though. But that is unavailable at this time, as we focus on gameplay and polish.

Hope that doesn't stop you from joining! Everyone is learning the game at this point, and it's all fun and games! So it's the perfect time to join!

That will be the HUD in 1080p. The screens shown before were in 720p, which explains why the hud looks big. The current Alpha is stuck in 720p mode as we haven't worked out some issues with interface docking, but in a few builds, players will be able to switch their resolution.

I am making a dev video explaining game play and showing our pretty images in action, should be up in less than 24h. Was supposed to be sooner, but things go kind of crazy here, sorry!

No single player campaign atm, we are focussing on multiplayer atm :)
