HELP ME!

I had the non-steam version of Half-Life 1.6 and when i press "Create Game" and start the server it loads and stops loading and goes back to the main menu

At the console i recieved this message

maxplayers cannot be changed while a server is running.
LAN servers are restricted to local clients (class C).

PLS ANYONE HELP ME, I LOVE THIS GAME... I HAVENT PLAYED IT IN YEARS PLEAAASE!!!!

When i start the game, it makes me select the player but the game freezes, i press F7 to exit it, i tried again, it happens, the game freezes, someone help me or this mod is ******* gone
