What sort of computer are you running A&A on? Do you have any background programs running? A&A gets very iffy about programs running or taking up memory in the background, and also crashes pretty easily when tabbed out.

I don't have this game, and so of course I don't mod it, but I am a big fan of Roughnecks:STC. Assuming you can diversify weapon loadouts, the show presents a lot of options for special weapons.

In just about every campaign, there's the Plasma Rocket launcher and the strange three-cyliander rocket launcher (sometimes called a Triple Thud, or at least that was a name I used for it.)

In Pluto, there's laser mags for the standard Morita, some sort of heavy rifle used by Vector squad in one scene (in one of my mods, I call this the "Heavy Munitions Rifle), a mounted laser weapon also used by Vector, and Gattling MG positions that also show up in Hydora. You also first see the "Fleet Carbine" used by pilots, seemingly oversized by the animators.

In Hydora you see the YK-6 Mobile Launcher that shows up for most of the rest of the series, as well as a flamethrower. Carl shows up with a very heavily armed squad of 3 guys decked out with these weapons. There's also the WASP air support platform with two Morita rifles attached.

Not much new after, admittedly. You could possibly include skinnie weapons like the Constrictor rifle and concussion launcher. But it doesnt look like new models can be added easily.

Oh, in the Zephyr campaign there's the one-off use of what seems to be a special rifle grenade munition, referred to as a "Javelin". I believe it gets used to clear a bunch of ice. There's also some sort of automatic grenade launcher ammunition fed into the Morita, and the laser mag sees use again as well.

I try to respond to all relevant comments on my mods. It's just a little difficult to see when and where they come, since I don't recieve any notification.

Returning to this mod to do a playthrough for my youtube channel, I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised with the basic SICON/Arachnid gameplay, at least from the SICON side. I'm glad someone else had enjoyed it - my memories before had been that the balance was not very good, and perhaps this would be more apparent playing from the Arachnid side. I may look into an update of this mod that adds some custom models instead of vanilla and kohan reskins, and add both Starship Troopers factions as something one can play in Custom/Skirmish.

On the RoWar mod: I cannot thank you enough for your kind words. Honestly it has been hard to keep working on that mod, given how incredibly niche it is and how little attention and feedback it has recieved, for the work that is required. All my work has been basically a love letter to a time I - and I guess relatively few other people - was able to experience in all its glory, and that has been largely the only thing moving me forward - until your comment. I have added as much description ingame as I can to show the real history behind techs and units and factions -in some cases a culmination of years of research-, and it makes me very glad to know that someone might actually be interested in what they have to say - engrossed in that point in history for reason other than nostalgia.

Sorry, didn't see your comment here for a while. The mod was made pretty much solely for campaign (and perhaps some custom map) gameplay, and so there's no real way that I remember to make either SICON or the Arachnids show up in a random match.

I can see about making a patch thats adds them as separate, playable factions if you're still interested.

There was an attempt at making a A&A modding discord a while back, but it is basically dead right now, and as far as I know there are no discord servers for this game other than a channel in one of the main Axis & Allies (board game franchise) ones.

Always happy to see buildable squadron buffs for the Rebels. It's crazy how forgotten they are by most mods, as though the Alliance did not depend on its starfighters in pretty much every medium.

How do you imagine this will differ statistically in-game, especially compared to the more 'premium' but contemporaneous MP5 of the next image?

The linkedrocket style projectiles will be included, yes - though the model would be just a rectangle with the studs and inlets textured on, so probably not worthy of a post.

As for the color, it would be teamcolor based, as that is generally how they were in the past.

You do not have to be so rude, you know. Also, "mod" is, in fact, an abbreviation: it is short for "modification". I think you mean to say that it is not an acronym, ie the letters M O D do not individually stand for separate words.

In any case, I do not think English is the mod author's first language, and saying "MOD" instead of simply "mod" is a common convention outside of the English speaking world. So this is just a simple language issue - nothing to get so rude about.

What a glorious image! Interesting to see so much infantry play by the URE/UR AIs, and interesting to see them fend off so much armor and special forces. The shield special op must have really come in clutch - it is an amazing special op, very useful and very effective.

I think URE in general has access to some incredible special op abilities, between Shielding, Vampyr and the Weather Control ability.

It is always interesting to see the AIs using the supply regiments. I honestly expected, early on, that their addition would cause all sorts of issues for AI pathfinding (retreating to nearest supply), but there haven't really been any issues of that sort.

Also, the Chinese faction has really nice models and textures overall - you did a very good job with them.

Yeaaah it uses the rifle animation set presently, which Im not super happy with, but it works, more or less. I'm afraid to try making new animations in case even the wraparound solution ive considered to not being able to export A&A .kf isnt doable.
