I loved the original game, and I hope you do not give up on this recreation. Good luck (especially with coding)!
Tracking.
I think if you just slow down the animations, then it would be better. Or, just work on them a little more, to make them seem more human like. Right now, they seem a little too fast and unnatural.
Btw, this mod is looking great so far! Very impressed with the coding.
What are you doing to make these textures look so good? Is it just new textures with detail textures? Or, is this a result of new code?
Since, the whole point of Minecraft is basically building; the main thing I would be concerned about (if this was my project) is how to go about having dynamic collision being updated.
Typically all the collision is created upon map compiling. So unless you some how made cube models with collision, you would need to do a lot of coding! Good luck to you
Hmm...yeah I can kind of see what you mean. On my other computer the shirt is pretty dark, I suppose it might help if I turn up the brightness. However, I am already using a 512x512 UV Map texture on the torso alone, so resolution wise, it's basically maxed out.
Taken down, because I've pretty much started from scratch. I did not want old screenshots representing this project. I will put new map pictures up when there's some new semi-finished levels.
I'm also no longer using any Half-Life textures or any other mod textures, just my own.
Amazing.
I can't wait to play this piece of art.
This is quite beautiful.
Only critique I have is that the blue seats seem to pop, almost too much?
Even though it seems to add a lovely splash of color, I find myself focusing almost constantly on the blue, which almost seems to glow or stand out. Maybe if there was more shadowing or if the blue was slightly less saturated it would look more natural, then again j.m.o.

games like Deus Ex and Omikron were an inspiration for some of the environments
yes.
by the way, this comment was very helpful.
Yeah, sorry. I did delete them because I am no longer using those maps and stuff :\
hmm yeah, i can see what you mean. these are still w.i.p. though and may not stay in the end.
I love the lighting and use of the lights behind the grates.
wow.... that's awesome. Are the distant hilly ground models/brushes/skybox?
4512 for both hands (shown in picture). Autodesk Mudbox is a nice tool.
nice to see the new HUD. good job with the coding
It sucks to hear this project died. I just started tracking this, because I was so impressed by the quality of the work and what I thought looked like a very interesting and unique project.
note: the textures still need a bit of work.
