i think i figured it out, i was a part of someones army, but it was defeated, and then i got a journal entry telling me to return to my liege lord and rejoin his party. i don't think you can take cities while your supposed to be in their retinue. it worked after i waited for the quest to expire, and then i could take the city for myself and not have any problems.

Okay.. so i just took a city, and i see a screen that says "You shouldn't be reading this" or something, and when i click continue nothing happens.

i put it in modules and when i try to run the game, the intro plays normally, but afterwards, i get a bunch of RGL errors (that don't crash the game though, they just pop up ) and then i get another RGL error that says

"Mesh names should have at least 2 characters: rename "0",in file "Modules\TLD\Resource\tld_missiles_a.brf"
and the game crashes

Make a character, go to his/her overview (where you would go to level up) and find export character history. go to your computer files, go to the mount and blade section, and look for something that says Characters, click the character you want to modify, and a box full of text should pop up. You can change the values from there, save the changes. go back to game, import character history. voila

i think the voice for this is good,
but i think it would be better if he talked in third person somehow, like "This unit has not received orders in over 100,000 years!" instead of "I have not"
