G'day mate, I saw your post about looking for people to work with on projects and it sounds like an interesting idea. If you still need 3d artists, just let me know.

New wallpaper!
You guys have seriously outdone yourselves. I cannot wait to see this beauty in game.
Eveningstar's right it was unnecessary and I apologise, I should have just ignored your comment at the end and moved on.
I was sincere in my thanks for pointing them out to me though.
I stand corrected, however since I didn't notice them initially it might be worth making them more prominent somehow. Perhaps enhancing the glow effect?
Now that I have taken a closer more thorough look I'd also note that some of the texture is a little askew where the pylons connect to the saucer section. Maybe some UV tweaking is called for.
By the way thank you for pointing out my mistake OhNoesBunnies!, I'm inferring from the way you went about it simply/friendlily letting me know was below your shrewd level of social interaction.
Called it!

I wonder if it'd be at all possible to recreate what happens in Armada 2 when you assimilate ships.
Awesome work as usual, love the subtlety of the colour scheme. Is it possible to incorporate patches of Borg hull on the ships? And maybe brighten the nacelles a bit.

I've installed the mod directly to the 1.82 folder as Bane suggested and it now works fine.
The Steam version of Sins Rebellion is now 1.82 and the mod's no longer showing up. I've tried copying the mod into the 1.82 folder however when i try to enable the mod the game crashes. Is there a way to force sins to run an older version or will i have to wait for the next release?
I can see the good and bad in this decision.
Yes rewriting the EU to what Lucasarts feels like isn't fair to the writers who put thousands of hours into their extensions to the Star Wars mythos or to those of us who've grown attached to the characters and stories, but if they do some tweaking here and there to make the EU more cohesive as a whole than I personally don't see the problem.
I sincerely hope they don't drastically change m/any stories but as Ozzy667 said, at the end of the day, it is Lucasart's product to do with what they will.
With all of these changes happening to the franchise as a whole, it makes sense for them to fix as many of the inconsistencies as possible in preparation for a new chapter in Star Wars history.
This is the most amazing planet texture i've ever seen. Burnstrobe deserves an award.
i have the steam version and i don't think it's compatible. i also have a disc copy of the game and the folder layout is different to the steam one.
I've tried changing the Old Republic at War shortcut's target to both sweaw.exe and swfoc.exe and with both of them it just starts up the original empire at war.
is this compatable with the steam version?
I'm tempted to call it Tactical menacing geometric shape from now on
The Akira class is my favourite ship, such a beautiful design and so powerful. This model and texture looks great except the edge where the deflector dish section connects to the main saucer section, that connecting edge I feel should be softened, it looks more like it's pasted onto the bottom rather than a flowing part of the ship.
The front part around the deflector dish looks great though. Those hard lines reaching out to the front of the saucer section and the edge loop going around the deflector dish make it look mean.
Also not sure if it's the angle but the red line and the windows look a bit distorted, as if the UVs aren't lined up quite right. Aside from those it looks amazing, keep up the good work!
I'd love to join you guys on your new venture, i have experience in maya and photoshop if u need a moddeler/texturer.
Farewell, brave Modders. Your work is now finished. Here at last, on Moddb... comes the end of our Fellowship. I will not say do not weep, for not all tears are an evil.
wow i actually guessed right, awesome idea guys.
no clue if this is what it will be for but the idea just came into my head. Make it a planet type that you can travel to and take control of, with the bonus that it has weaponry built into it.
Would it be better to call them 'Unidentified Light Frigate'?
if i didnt know this game and the klingons i'd say they were fireworks, so pretty.
ive installed it however when i open it the console says Could not open string package 'CON_TEXT'.
im fairly sure i installed it correctly.
Reaper_Armada there is currently a warrant ordering you to remove this picture immediately due to a confirmed case of fatal eye-gasm.
yeah it's a really good model but a lot of the dimensions seem like they need to be tweaked.
it's actually amazingly simple Set. all u need to do is adjust some values in a notepad document for the ships, u can google how to do it. I have no experience coding whatsoever and it was easy. i'm not sure if u can adjust things like weapon range but i had my ships flying at about 1 million miles a second with 1-hit kill weapons. Unikraken knows how looking at his comment.
the new design looks awesome! The red type in the article looks great and the background is awesome but the crimson color used for the links definately looks too dark.
I'd love to be a tester for both mods and also if you guys ever need it i have some experience modelling in maya and making textures. Thankyou Henley for helping to do this!
not sure if the game engine supports them or not but a decent normal map and good detail around the holes would give them a lot more depth providing the illusion that the hole is much deeper than it is so give em some time guys.
it does sound very nice, however when it goes to the full on orchestral part at about 0:53, it sounds like two separate songs meshed together. there's no real buildup, the two parts sound completely different in sound and the mood of it and it also sounds slightly off timing wise when it's introduced.
Overall it's a really good piece, good job.
