Wow, this mod is seriously amazing!
There's a lot of story at the start, which I'm sure can be largely skipped, but it is actually really well written and well voice acted. So, if you have the time, I'd recommend sitting through it on your first playthrough.
But once the action starts, it's beautiful! The gun play in this mod is so good! It's like your classic DOOM 3 gunplay, but just tweaked in the right ways. The pistol fires faster, and is central on the screen. The shotgun has a tighter spread, and can do decent damage from a distance. The machine gun seems to fire tighter and more powerfully. The flashlight makes a return for bonking zombies.

The level design is also very nice. It is a perfect combination of Half-Life and DOOM 3. I honestly can't praise this mod enough, and I haven't even played episode 2 yet! Great work devs.

I know there's people here that hate videos like this, but for anyone who is interested, I'll link a video to my playthrough of episode 1. I'll come back and post a reply to this comment when I play through a record episode 2, so it's not spammy.

This is a really good mod! The sprite work is really nice, and I love the double barrel! The difficulty really ramps towards the end!

Wow, this is seriously awesome.
For a cross over you can tell the amount of work that went into the level designs, and the enemy creation.
I've only managed to complete the first two levels, went in on Ultra-Crispy, but I'm loving it so far.

​I can see what you're going for with the game, and I actually really like the graphical style of the game.
The trouble is, the game didn't really seem to work fully?

I couldn't find out where I was supposed to go, even though I'm fairly certain I tried all the doors I found. I did definitely enjoy my time with the game, and you clearly have a skill for making games.

I decided to post my follow up video to this game in a comment instead of coming across spammy on the creators page.
The game got updated shortly after I made the video linked in the above comment, and the update is very substantial. You can now actually finish resident evil 2 source and it is a great experience for fans of the series. As you can expect from this creator, there is a high attention to detail and it delivers a very satisfying experience from start to end.

I am a massive Resident Evil 2 fan, and this source mod is so true to the source material it makes a fan boy weep!
Please keep up the excellent work!

This was a really enjoyable and short experience! Since the game was made for a jam, it is quite short, but the quality of the overall experience is still very high!

The game shows a lot of promise, and while some of the challenges seem slightly trial and error, the game is always fair and I imagine the full game (which is available now) would be a very enjoyable experience
