For the love of god look at technologies. I just clean installed it and I can't discover how to make paper and furniture.

techs are bugged, can't invent last 2 colonization techs, can't reserarch the capitl ships by 2890(any of them), can't research lumber mills as the invention is bugged. Somehow the years for inventions are set at the 1800's not the 2800's

Romania, the Bulgarian-Romanian union also CTD's my game.

size of colonies. If you got a lot of colonies and they have a lot of population/size the colonial points they take will increase. It can get into negatives when your port regions get occupied(temporarily) or when you just conquered huge uncivilized lands or lost a region with a big port or a lot of ships.

It's me again!

Right let's get into the meat of it. I have played a grand total of 6 factions to any degree of time. Azjol-Nerub, Aqir, Blood Elves, Naga, Stromgarde and Vrykul. The others just didn't speak to me the same way, but each of them had some mechanical issues.

- Azjol Nerub: Tried them in both campaigns and the one thing I have to say is that they're really damn scary with 1 turn general recruitment. My biggest 'issue' with them is the fact I had trouble separating cavalry from infantry, otherwise this faction's roster is essentially tailor made for me. So many useful ranged units, good infantry and there's lots of them. My only REAL complaint with them is in the custom battles as I do not get access to the entire roster and for some reason I get Aqiri units there. They also got access to artillery builder without any artillery units, making the entire building chain worthless.

- Aqir. Decent faction, amazing bodyguard unit/mages. The problem is that all other units except mages are easily forgettable. My bodyguard unit is the only reason I can even expand to reach the Demons as all, as my units that can fight against demons and the Horde require build-up which is only possible in my southernmost settlements meaning I constantly have to move back and forth my generals when my armies get spent and the waves of fodder die too fast. This also puts my entire front at risk as a single good push can push me back hard. I also CTD a lot with this faction during battles for some reason. Had to autoresolve and lose a battle I was about to win 3 TIMES before I gave up. My lower tier units do not keep up in the mid game, my mid tier units are meh and my monstrous multi HP units are in too low number and nigh impossible to replace their limited numbers to serve me for more than 1-2 battles.

- Blood Elves: Nothing amazing, interesting starting location, and roster with some mages and beasts. I like the fact they also got a settlement in Northrend which is their only saving grace from mediocrity. They got some mages and units have an eat color but their gameplay is just kill trolls and undead with only the Northrend campaign adding any difficulty.

- Stromgarde: Nothing to complain about, good units with the caveat that lot of the early units look pretty much interchangeable to me making their selection something I spam for numbers. Whenever I try to conquer the Forsaken with them though I get a ctd. Priests of the Light mage units are also not worth the cost in my opinion. They're overall decent to play with but the CTD with the Forsaken really made me leery of using them.

-Vrykul: Least played faction. Honestly if you decided to merge them into the Scourge you wouldn't have lost much, their living units are either the elite Proto-Dragon Hunters or the lowest tier infantry. Wish they had the option of turning from Undeath back to Titan worship like Lithuania turning from Paganism to Christianity as they're one of the few factions that could use a religion change. Otherwise nothing really interesting to talk about

- Naga: Other faction that could use the option of changing religion, to Old Gods to be more specific as they canonically do serve them(how they got turned from Elves to Sea creatures). As for actually playing it? Love the starting position, very challenging, the units look great and are useful, and Illidan is the MVP of my entire campaign as he kicks Elf butt hard. The Northrend campaign is just weird as I dunno what I'm supposed to do there but the plot of having to save the Blood Elves is fun.

I have no problem with the Nerubian units except a lack of description, I already have all the units I would need playing them and I never said anything about units.

About the Vrykul though, yeah I found some cheaper mercenaries at the Goblin settlements.

The Naga on the other hand? Yeah they got a sweet starting location, and Illidan was a life saver as it just wrecked all Night Elven butt he saw. I think the high point of my campaign with them was trapping Cenarius in one of the Ruin Villages and swarming him with Murlocs

A pity about the nerubians and the Aqir though, would have really loved to see them bloom as they're the most unique factions with them being giant bugs. The nerubian architecture inspired the Scourge to be as they are but it was theirs first so the fact the Nerubians get the scourge names is the real shame. Wish there was a way to keep the buildings but change their names.

Yeah I'm aware of the NE roster and how some might like but it's just not really my style. It feels disjointed to my sensibilities. Tried the Naga though and it feels somewhat better, maybe because it's got a consistent theme(elves corrupted+ aquatic) even if it's like 2.5 rosters put together.

The Vrykul on the other hand? What mercenaries? The only mercenaries I could find were the same as they were and very expensive.

The biggest issue I have with this mod is the fact that the Nerubians have the same building names as the Undead faction, despite them being Old God worshippers(which they aren't but game engine limitations to lore and so on.)

So far them and their Qiraji cousins are the only two factions I enjoyed out of the 4 I've tried so the fact they have to use the undead factions buildings and name is really sad. The biggest issue I have with them is the Nerubian's lack of buildings for their settlements in the beginning as they were a huge faction in the lore. Got no issues with the Qiraji except their buildings havign undead names.

Of the other two, the Night Elves and the Vrykul the stuff I disliked about them was the very way their factions operated.
- NElves: they start relatively Ok but the way their roster is made is something I really dislike. Nothing bad with it and I can see people loving them but for me they're just a big no. They feel... disjointed as if I'm not just controlling one faction, but one culture full of factions which is I guess perfectly lore compatible but I dislike it personally.
-Vrykul: I love the fact they start with no buildings as they just woke up from a long sleep and you gotta conquer other settlements or build up your own to start recruiting, really gets the whole rampaging barbarian horde thing. My biggest problem with them is that as a semi-undead faction they do not have any spamable unit, troops I can recruit NOW and not 2+turns away, then there's the damn Huntresses which are basically useless from what I've see and so very expensive. They're an elite only faction with small numbers, but they have 0 units that can be recruited in one turn and some that can only be recruited in 5.

Started with Wallachia, proceeded to destroy the Ruthenians, in the first 5 turns of the war they begged for peace, proceeded to exterminate them in the second war. Conquered half of Hungary after they decided to break our alliance while the Black death was running wild in my lands and as soon as I finished the war with Hungary the Mongols come knocking.

Best experience with a Romanian voievodat in TW.

To the north sea empire, it lacks and ADJ, could you perhaps make it Pontic? The black sea has historically been a variation of Pontus.

go to documents, find the paradox file, then find the EU4 file, make a mod file inside the EU4 one, put the mod and the .mod file there. If that doesn't work find wherever you installed EU4 and put it into the mod file there.

that's weird but I guess I can see why it might be necesary. I mean if you got a country near China and defeated it while it was weak and couldn't raise troops then when you westernized you could have had several powerful states and completely break the games. Still weird though

I'd like to propose Assimilation boost events for uncivs (they have no nationalism) to have them be more uniform once people realize that nationalism is a thing that exists.

I'd also like propaganda campaigns that make populations lean a certain way to make it easier to switch your country's party and prevent socialists/anarcho-liberals from taking control.

Uncivilized states already do that. If they conquer other uncivs or even civ countries' territory then when they westernize they remain as states even if there's not a single primary or accepted pop there.

It's not Russia, that OP but Japan. Managed to defeat both Russia and Germany at the same time while I was in a war with the British and the Spanish... Woot...

On a sidenote, how were the Brits able to conquer the Mughals? They were like a mini China and then a few years later they got annexed by the British.

Tried some minor german powers, then decided to play the actually playable ones with an army. Whenever I take the event Teutonic roots and the BPR I instantly lose, tried to have it take as Prussia too and the same thing happened, I had to transfer to another country for a bit then return and what I found was my army disbanded, all my prestige lost and suddenly going from the being in a constant battle for the first place on the world stage to being a secondary power.

Also I tried playing Japan, pretty fun, especially in the late game when I went up to the 1970's but damn were the post WW2 years a ******* nightmare.

Also I'm not sure if this was intended or not but I've seen minors and uncivs( the mughals the scariest example) losing more and more population as the game progresses which is freaky, the only ones not affected by this were the chinese( who I've somehow managed to keep uncivlized if with most of their territories) who had a total pop of 200+ millions ( total pop, not just the adult male pop we see). Is this intended?

make artillery ASAP, as soon as you got like 2-3 of them mobilize and rush to take as small a region near you as possible and peace out as soon as they would accept you taking the region. You got tech advantage over them so with a decent general and some careful campaigning as well as demobilizing troops and bringing them back when they're too depleted you can get yourself a good enough start to just roll over them.
