Can we get a manual install option? I'd really prefer to not use a restrictive .exe that doesn't allow you to even spoof the install folder path so I can actually ensure what I'm downloading is both up-to-date and not going to brick my install due to previous interactions. Who seriously enforces a very specific install path?

Because unfortunately the Ukrainian flag itself is now a political symbol, so a lot of people get pissy even when its use doesn't have any relevance to the war. It's just stupid people having kneejerk reactions to something, and not thinking clearly.

Should we expect an AO3/MSO merge? If not, what needs to be done in order to make them compatible?

Have you considered using a displacement map for ground textures instead of normals? I think the issue is that it looks flat, and there's only so much you can do with textures. A disp. map would probably benefit you a lot.

This assumes that'd be possible, or not murder the engine in the process.

I love the fact that you tried to reconcile the game's locations with the actual topography of the area. Though where is Jupiter?

Huh, really? The readme said to install NPatch. Is the early beta the only version which uses NPatch?

Will there be a version with Ares or with NPatch integrated into the installation? NPatch's installer doesn't work on the First Decade or Ultimate Collection versions of YR, due to its strict requirements for a 'legitimate' copy.

Is support for Challenge mode and the campaign in consideration, or is this a Skirmish/Multiplayer only mod?

What's the background music for the site? It's absolutely amazing.

Absolutely gorgeous, and I'm loving that animation at the end.

Looking nice! Though I have a couple concerns. First off, what's with the hammers for the BM16 Long? It looks like they vanish when you fire. Also, the top lever seems to bug out during the reload animation for the TOZ 34.

I actually would prefer if bullets and mags were both used. While magazines-only makes since during combat scenarios, it might be immersive to sit down by the campfire and load your magazines for the next firefight. A simple way I can think of to make loading magazines easier is foregoing real-time loading. Instead, you can have a prompt auto-load a magazine for you. This keeps things simpler while still maintaining the current system.

I'd be very eager to help out with this, if at all possible. Storytelling is a passion of mine, and I've long held a soft spot for STALKER.

I'm curious as to how this works. Do weapons turn into repair kits upon break-down? For example, I want to repair my AK-74S so I break down a poor condition AK-74U. This turns into an 5.45x39mm repair kit, able to repair anything of that caliber. Alternatively, does it turn into spare parts, which can be used in tandem with a universal repair kit to fix a weapon of similar caliber?

A great concept, but I do have one concern. What about if you remove a gasmask? I know that in MISERY I tend to only wear a gasmask if I'm near an anomalous area, as the breathing sound bothers me. Will the mask retain the current filter or will it be put in your inventory? If it retains it, will there be a possibility of it emptying or filling upon loading a save, like with ZoA's mags?

I think color tape would be a very intuitive way to show ammo types, yes. Of course, you'll still have to denote it in additional information, since they'll have to understand what color stands for what type before it can be internalized.

However, some concerns I have are over how wide a selection we'll have for magazines, and how loading works. I think a problem ZoA had was how many different magazines you could find. While it was definitely immersive, it quickly became bothersome, as suddenly you had ridiculously large areas of your inventory devoted to several types of magazines. A way to fix this that comes to mind is having a single magazine for each ammunition type - the magazine's limit is defined by the weapon currently in a slot. A problem I can see from this however is that it makes it easier to carry lots of ammunition around, since instead of having to find a bunch of a certain mag, any mag of the same caliber works.

Another problem ZoA ran into was clunky loading - it was a very tedious process (though not by any means the modder's fault - the clunkiness is because of in-game limitations) and could be punishing. As well, half-empty mags would always fill up after loading a save or leaving the area. I'm not sure of any solutions, but hopefully these can be avoided.

A recommendation I do have though is either the option to find mags taped together, or a process through which you can attach two mags, possibly through a tape item that allows you to select two mags to attach. One problem I'm seeing though is if you feel it necessary to vary the animations depending upon type or whether another is attached, that's quite the workload. Of course, this assumes that's even possible.

A great mod, and I quite enjoy the difficulty, however two problems.

One, are you still looking into the Agroprom Underground crash? I've downloaded both patches and still can't proceed. Two, is there a reason why the ZoA loading screen sticks around even after the mod's files are removed? I've deleted the user.ltx, along with the gamedata folder and xrGame.dll, but for some reason I still get it, even after a clean install of the game. Assistance on these issues would be greatly appreciated.
