Nah, the fallout with the creators of the M2TWEOP.exe tool started in 2021 with me having an issue with ReShade and the M2TWEOP where they weren't compatible, so I couldn't start the mod at all after installing both. And when I wrote about my issues there in their Discord they were very unfriendly and hostile so and started accusing me of writing ******** when it was a real issue..

Since then I've had kind of a negative view on their creators.

I'll look into the voices and try to fix that in an update, I'll also look into if there are any differences in buildings at the start between the releases, as for the unit cards for Tauren, Trolls and Orcs I believe that due to hardcoded limits they all shared Orc cards/portraits for their new generals and family members, and finally the traits by Thrugg wasn't included because that's what caused the mod to crash in version 2.3, which I solved by having all the "triggers for traits disabled" - this means that the traits didn't work in the game except the ones characters started out with, and so if you got new characters/generals/family members they lacked traits entirely - one of the main goals of the new release was to restore working traits for all the new generals that you acquire while playing, and to enable any character to earn new traits during gameplay - which I did succeed in but of course Thrugg's traits gave a lot of details like the information on the characters, races and what-not - I'd like his traits but I see it as a risky endeavor to bring those back.

I would need to save a backup before attempting that and be ready to go back to it if the game starts to crash. As I don't trust stability when adding new traits.

As for the voices they also got messed up when I fixed the traits, but I should be able to fix that by handing those characters a certain amount of dread or chivalry at the start.

There won't be any additional campaigns, unless a submodder makes that.

As for Hyrule that's a mod created by the user "Undying Nephalim/IceCreamMan/Chasen Lindsay" - but I did do a pretty vast submod for his older release version 3.7.3 that I named Classic Ultimate - I also did update his official 4.6 release fixing a huge amount of bugs, and adding some new stuff - but unlike Warcraft: Total War it's not me who created the mod, it's him - with Warcraft: Total War I was a part of a team of 6 people in 2017, then 2 -3 people in 2018, then 2 people in 2019 and then I've been mostly alone on it. During most of the development of Warcraft it was me and one other dude though.

I see, I didn't know that. I haven't visited their website before.

Edit: I've now read all their text on their website.

So it would be possible to modify the game without restarting it, like the game will change during gameplay - that's really cool to be honest.

No custom battles is a bit of a problem though. It would force us to have one campaign-version and one version with custom battles.

Also, I don't really know how to use those features and I don't expect the creators to be very helpful as we had a fallout years ago.

It could be a useful feature, but it's a bit too recent for me to want to include it. I'll keep an eye on it and try it out at some point.

Also, the issue with LUA scripts etc is that they might not function on Windows 7 which I'm using.

Callistonian is probably the only one out of them that doesn't hate me.

No, there is no Alliance in the mod as it's set during Warcraft 3 Reign of Chaos, and during the Frozen Throne.

The Draenei are mercs for the Night Elves and the Humans so in essence they're available to the Alliance, but the Alliance isn't a faction.

You don't need to post the same thing twice, and as the mod is still a WIP certain things aren't done.

Unit descriptions doesn't affect gameplay and is never a priority for me.

The EDU-file is limited to 500 units, meaning you can't add more than 500 units into that file.

I don't know about the latest version of the M2TWEOP-tool but I would guess that it can enable recruitment directly from that file through the program.

I don't think they've broken the 500 unit limit as they didn't state so explicitly.

You would need to get the character model and textures from GoT Enhanced version 5.6.

I believe that FireStorm replaced this model with a smaller one that had no visible bugs due to the size, but I like you would have probably kept this model for its size despite a hardly noticeable skeleton-issue.

The skeleton is still the vanilla skeleton so it's gonna stretch a bit. Something I didn't really notice.

Yes, for any of the new mercenaries that were previously unique for the Minor Factions/Slave/rebel-faction.

Units like the two Harpies, the two Centaurs, the Quilboars etc.

Only the important cities have garrisons, and only for the race owning the region.

So for example if Silvermoon is under siege and it's defended by Quelthalas or Venice/Blood Elves then they will spawn a big garrison. If it's held by the Scourge instead it won't spawn a garrison if under siege. And unimportant placed like Brill might not spawn garrisons at all.

There will be Hobgoblin mercenaries, even though the ones seen on the pictures on this MODDB-page were lost - Assurbanippal will remake them.

There won't be any demon factions no, but we do have the Orcish Kingdom of Many-Arrows and the Thayan Nation - two nations with many monsters.

I would guess that there will be demon mercenaries for a bunch of factions, or demon rebels though - I've seen models of demons from 2014 that will be remade and used later.

Because that's the only way to have character-specific voices, and it was done by Tucket1 on the old version where traits didn't change ever - now they're still in the game with working traits, which causes this issue.

No. They'd need chivalry to get the Kael-voice, and dread will hand them the female voice.

The working traits will mess up any character-specific voices unless they have dread or chivalry, I believe that dread gives the female Elven Ranger voice, and chivalry the male Kael voice.

In the older version the traits would never change because the triggers weren't working, and Tucket1 had changed them to have the chivalry and dread at the start for certain characters. I haven't done that here so the voices won't be correct for the characters.

Not sure what the issue is, the Human troops all should have better dfence, while the Orcs should have better attack values as they're bigger but with less armor.

That's not a crash, that's the new Camhack-mod, if you use Total War Camera like i do, and click on a unit, then on backspace, then on End - then the camera is free and you can zoom-in and out without limits.

That's a new feature, yes it took the backspace-button.

In which campaign?

I'm guessing the Frozen Throne campaign, because they only spawn late-game in the RoC campaign when certain conditions are met, so the horde-feature is for the RoC-campaign spawn.

In the FT-campaign they shouldn't become a "horde" but should be destroyed. It worked in older versions but as I've remade the mod essentially from the May 2021 release something could be off there.

You'll have to ask someone to send it to you personally on Discord or somewhere, if you know other players.

The .exe-files are copyrighted so they can't be uploaded, but certainly a friend can send it through Discord.

As an example, a guy I know through modding had issues with the 4gb patch not woking on his Linux computer - so he couldn't patch the game, but the vanilla game worked fine without the patch.

Now he needed the patched medieval2.exe and kingdoms.exe to play the mod. So the solution was to download the .exe files in a patched state - that solved it.

Try the other patch then, the Large Address Aware patch - or ask another player for their patched .exe.

The mod is NOT playable without the patch. You may be able to enter the mod, but it will crash almost everywhere.

You're saying that all the city-battles crash?

This is not the case for others.

On a MAC this would be the case because the MACintosh computers can't handle the custom cities/settlements in battle.

If you are using a MAC that would explain it.

The game can crash at some locations, I believe that the Goron settlement near Domain Prime will always crash if playing it in real-time, at least it did in my playtest as the Zora. It didn't as Labrynna though.

I think in these situations using the console command and autowin cheat is the solution.

It's a case of 99% of all battles working, at least when trying the battle a 2nd time after loading up the save again after restarting the mod.

But in this case, and against a particular Lizalfos general- the game crashed again and again and so I had to cheat my way out of that.

If the game forces you to first play a custom battle, then that could be random in the game for different computers.

I had that happen in Hyrule on one computer, then it didn't happen at all when I moved it to the other one - so I guess just start custom battles or quickbattles first then.

You don't need to play the battle, all you need to do is start a quick-battle and then exit, then go to the campaign.

This whole issue shouldn't be in the mod at all, as it weren't for me - but it could be random.
