Danananana...
Birds.
Dinosaurs in disguise.
No really.
Go look it up. Its true.

We need miniature T-Rex'es with wings to populate our cities like pigeons!

Only then would our city statues look 100% more awesome as they nest.

One question about the pre-order / purchase.
Is this like the original Minecraft sales, in that we pay now - and as the game gets updated, we receive the new content for free having already paid and registered? As in, pre-ordering now for the early test build, with the full release later on.

Or are we simply paying for the priveledge of being able to playtest this fine product before its release and support development, when we will then have to purchase the release game itself?

I love the premise of this game for two reasons. Its evident inspiration and homage to the classic Dwarf Fortress, and that now I can actually tell what the heck is what, without the ASCII graphics :D

Seems like a naff question, but I'd rather be sure.

Whilst the news is tragic and a serious blow to the development of a promising game, I cant help but agree entirely with a few people throughout these comments. The thoughts are shared. Why is there so little damage control within a company / group that is working on a large scale project?

The lack of backups in a physical format or at another location, either online or also physical, is simply gobsmacking. Its a cruel world in the business scheme of things, and though not in a discouraging manner - precautions against this should be taken right from the start for any sort of scenario, including the problems with public relations / trolling, Paypal and piracy. If I recall correctly, there were also issues with funding regarding the home-rent of people working on the game, thus not having enough for development.

I'd assume establishing a stable life situation comes first before an expensive project.

I've paid for my copy of the game and thus cant demand anything / complain further since they already have my money, but heck, news like this is both bad luck and a slap of karma.
