We're reusing original or unused dialog. Some of the original escape dialog clips pretty hard and has been remastered.

I made this.
Thanks a lot! We'll be holding a giveaway using indiedb's tool next Sunday.
The end puzzle was pretty difficult for a lot of people; glad you were able to finish it.
[i don't hate portal thanks colossal]
Rar files are common for distributing mods like this; you can open them with free programs like WinZip, 7-Zip or WinRar.
Seems fine; If your vanilla Portal 2 runs fine, there's not really any reason this wouldn't. You might try reinstalling the mod (and verifying or reinstalling Portal 2). Make sure any 3rd-party DLC (like the Sixense pack) are disabled. If you have heavy content mods in your Portal 2 folder, it's possible that those might be conflicting, but that's very difficult to determine without just going in and removing them.
Hi, you're the first I've heard of with crashes. Is there a log in your mod or portal 2 folder that lists something. What settings are you running the game on (and what kind of graphics card do you have)?
Hi, you will have to extract them from the pak01_dir.vpk file and move them into the corresponding folders in /portal2. You can open .vpk files with a program called GCFScape.
A quick google search recommends Ardour, Ardour.org
I used Ableton Live to make the music, but there are free alternatives like LMMS that work very well if you're just getting started.
As above: you cannot pack soundscapes or vscripts into individual maps. Because the workshop requires things to be uploaded one map at a time, the remaining assets like skins and brush materials would also need to be duplicated in every map. A workshop release would be at least 5 times the size of this one and lack the music and some of the automation.
If your computer can run Portal 2, you should be able to run mods on it without any problem. Certainly these maps are somewhat less demanding than some vanilla maps.
Sadly, you cannot pack custom soundscripts into maps. Furthermore, the custom textures would need to be packed into every single map, making the full thing something like 5 times the size it would need to be.
I originally planned on a workshop release, but the game only works as a mod.
@GFU, make sure that you have Source SDK 2013 installed and that it is set to the beta branch.
Still need a mapper for your Snowball Fight mod? I've got a pretty good amount of experience with mapping for Source (also do music and sound design on some other mods too).
This was a work-in-progress shot of the mod from some time ago; it isn't representative of what the level looks like anymore.
The CSS on this page appears to be broken, but you can see the new stuff here: Moddb.com
No; we've put out some music/media in the past week to hint at an update but we'd rather wait until we have a trailer to do anything big.
^This guy isn't marked as a creator, but he's a mapper on the mod.
I'm not personally working on glados or her animations, but I do know that we used to have clean textures for a lot of the mod. We've decided to keep everything a bit dirty to contrast the clean chambers that come after the destroyed ones in Portal 2- everything's already been sitting there for a while when Portal 1 happens, wheareas in Portal 2 they look 'even better than before.'
I can't replace Colossal's opinion, but I can tell you that the end of the school semester means we have a lot more time for the mod and we've got a newfound drive to finish it. More on that later.
You should be able to use it as a drop-in replacement, yes.
Yes; hopefully the new model will be done soon!.
To be fair, it shows up on just about every other thing we post... if not everything.
Been looking forward to Quake 3 support; I'll give it a try.
The music in the demo was done by waturboi if I recall correctly. His soundtrack reflected an older style of the mod- the soundtrack and sounds have changed along with the visual style. I'll see if I can get some new music up soon that reflects the final feel.
We'll be using a custom model instead of a reskin in order to get the best results.
Still Alive and Kicking. Technically still on schedule to release. We don't have a public release date.
It is unlikely the mod will have much of a story or even a world that indicates some kind of backstory. If it does, it is then even less likely that it will rely on the world of Half-Life and Portal.
