There is translator companion feature, but they can only translate when they knows both language. Currently it only works in the communication ui interface when you click and directly talks to a person in town/army/etc.

You can use vanilla Bannerlord cheat
A simple way would be just cheat in sandbox, wearing armor you like and get troop from cheat menu. Then find enemy army to fight.
We currently use enhance battle test but it might not be working so well.
Also, this isn't a hard restriction for the most part. You can still wear mismatched gears with some degree of renown penalty. Different culture/faction also have different degree of acceptance toward foreign equipment.

I'm trying to push the idea of the shield strap for some years now. But due to technical difficulty, we can not have shield model with strap to the shoulder unfortunately. Some troop can have 5th equipment slot but player cannot as it would mess up the ui currently.

I suppose you mean surcoat and other type of fabric clothing; we have them already but not every knight or troop wear them. In Jackie's video he is just wearing one mail armor that do not have surcoat. On the top of that, surcoat is not yet that popular at the mod's period yet.
There will be open beta when it is ready, and we do not accept donations like Patreon (But if you have historical information, access to library/data/historical document/private historical collection, etc.; you are welcome to provides information with us).
We do have member who are researching about those topic and we will trying to create ethnical looking. But how will would it be shown in Bannerlord is still unknown.
Probably because of Bannerlord's system that reduce detail rendering for character faces outside character creation screen.

We are going to have a overall proofread and writing improvement in the later stage of the development by native English speakers. Many current in-mod text are written by our programmer who is not a native English speaker so text error is expected in the current development stage.
