After I update my game to 0.17 I cant load the save game either. but after looking around in my save folder, I changed the line "spawn=spawn.txt,0,0" to "spawn=frontier_outpost.txt,2,12" in my save file.
I dont know if its the correct way to fix it, but at least it lets me play the game again.
