That ******* thing was a lighthearted joke by a developer in an early version which we kind of forgot about :P
That being said, you can manually move the files if need be, just make sure the EIR files are in your COH relaunch folder!

In short, Europe in Ruins is a more polished product.
We have 3 years of experience and counting, a larger active playerbase enjoying our modification, a launcher program and currently 10/12 unique new doctrines coded in.

There's at least a few games happening at any given hour of the day, with peaks of up to 50 - 60 players GMT evenings, especially on weekends.

Fairly easy yes, you download and install a 'launcher' program that will from then on always keep you updated and is used for creating a company, finding games, etc.

Toughest part is 'getting used' to the whole new gameplay from vCOH but once you get the hang of it you'll never want to go back! :)

Nope, no singleplayer support possible due to the nature of the mod.
Multiplayer only but there are enough players online on any given timezone to start a game :).
