It's just as you said. The pre-alpha version was never meant to be developed further, but for the growing community, we decided to make some smaller updates for it, thus reducing work hours on the real game by a lot. That is the reason we are not making any more updates for it since spring and are only focusing on the alpha development. This doesn't even share a tiny bit of code with the pre-alpha, as we are aiming for an MMO with a lot of players and features. I still can't give you an estimation, but we are progressing with it.
Also, don't forget, Xatoku might have been the only programmer, but he wasn't alone with the project. A lot of people contributed and worked on the different aspects of the game.

It will happen, but for now, we are still preparing some things and it is better for us to work in a more calm atmosphere without many people asking "when is the update?". If we show something now, these questions will again skyrocket and also, we want to have an impact with our progress as we had when we went public with the project. I know it's frustrating how we look from outside right now, but inside it is really lively.

Quite strange indeed. Last time we had snow was in the winter version, but that was a long time ago. Did you extract every file, didn't they merge somehow with an older release? Try deleting everything game related and downloading it again.

From where did you download it? And what do you mean by "different"?

Not sure if you are at the right place. Our game is called Planet Pokémon, while there is also a different game made by others called Pokemon Planet. The names are similar, but not the same.

Some people from the community started their own projects, you might want to look into those. I don't think they would just leave for something other they don't even know.

We only post major updates on Indiedb. As we stated, the pre-alpha won't be updated, we are working on the alpha version right now. If you are curious how things are progressing, I suggest you look at our forum.
When the time comes to show something big enough, we will post it here.

The pre-alpha, as you may have seen already, won't get real updates, just some minor patches. We are progressing with alpha at a reasonable pace, but yeah, it is still not ready for the public. You should check our forum page, as we will show a preview of our progress soon. Be prepared for awesomeness. :)

As matters stand currently, a closed alpha might launch roughly at the end of February, no estimated date for open-alpha. You can be more up-to-date looking at our forum.

No, this game and its creators have nothing to do with Stranded I, II. Only the game's theme is the same.

When you start the game, there is a detailed tutorial, just use the arrows at the top. Also, right mousebutton + number (1,2,3,...) for sending out.

Since the first pre-alpha release, there were about 3 major ones (Halloween, Eevee, Christmas), but these were just for the community, they actually slowed down development. Alpha itself will be totally different from these demos (including the code side). We want to concentrate on this from now on.

Well, we are still not sure about server costs in the future, but thank you for the offering. For now, just enjoy the game as it is, free in every way. :)
