Regarding Race X and Sergeants, Bernus is right. Black Ops may or may not appear in late-game chapters where you can meet assassins, but we will decide on that for sure only once we get to those chapters.

Half-Life Extended is going to have 19 chapters, we currently have 5 chapters prepared, so about 1/4th of the mod. It's taking a while but we're a mod team, we work only when we have some spare free time and our work is fueled by nothing but enthusiasm so things often take time to complete. Thank you for your interest in the mod.

1. Yes, there will be a demo similar to Half-Life: Day One. From Anomalous Materials up to We've Got Hostiles, + Hazard Course. I have high hopes we release it this year
2. Unlikely
3. We'll see, we do some updating to our files every now and then and development builds are already pretty different from the public SDK.
4. Well, you probably know we have some restored beta enemies. Also a few aliens like alien grunt and zombie have some variety now. The former has a variation that acts sort of like classic Doom revenant and has homing projectiles, the latter if it's a zombified soldier, can act like zombines from HL2 Ep 1.

The entirety of Quake textures will end up in this mod, 2-3 per map. Also perhaps you tried to save up on the tunnel polygons way too hard.

Absolutely great news! I'm a pretty casual player and I honestly gave up playing about halfway through the mod because it became far too difficult for me, looks like I will finally be able to finish the mod and look at your amazing Xen! Also love the maps and lighting rework, the visibility seems to be much better now and the less slow vent crawling the better.

Regarding the HD Pack, we're not planning to make it. A 3rd party HD Pack might be a thing however and if I recall correctly CamKablam was working on it at some point.

Trinity is against the mod's "vanilla but more" premise and Spirit will have to be implemented by 3rd party since the amount of code that would need adjustments is just too big, sorry

Not exactly that but we do have about 14 different zombie variations and 3 gonome variations.
We're also implementing HEV zombie at the moment.

Thank you for your feedback. Lengthy comments are my favourite!
1) SoHL features most likely will have to be added by somebody else since I am the only coder and there would be so, just so many things to carry over...
2) Yes, ropes and wires are in the game.
3) We were also thinking about adding female scientists, but there just might be not enough space in sentences.txt considering that maintenance and service personnel will also have some custom lines.

Как я вижу, новые ассеты просто запредельного (по меркам ХЛ1, канешне) качества. Текстуры карт тогда тоже неплохо бы подтянуть.
И раз на то пошло, то почему бы вообще не перенести мод на Ксаш, чтобы ненароком в лимиты движка не упереться?
Вообще рад, что TH стал получать заслуженное внимание как мод-платформа

The "Junky Half-Life mod from the 90s" aesthetics are maintained, I see. Or is it a matter of mappers' skills?
Both ways I appreciate this a lot. When I completed They Hunger I also thought that a fresh mod in this universe would be great.
