I have no idea what the average gamer's demographic is, but I'm pretty much that. Gaming for 20 years, modding for 6, I have a bad habit of jumping into bed with a game, modding the hell out of it then moving onto the next game. Hopefully I'll find my perfect partner. Currently playing (and modding) Dawn of War, Skyrim, Portal 2, Oblivion, Company of Heroes, Doom 3, several iOS games and Solitaire.

Thank you for your kind words.

The original idea was to make the Ork Warboss invincible and the Necron cave unreachable until the nodes had been turned off but playtesting apparently made it impossible so I let gamers do their own thing.

I hope to get it back off the ground some time this year but looking back through the code of even Episode 2 shows there's a lot of exploits that are hard to fix. I'm basically doing what the original team did on the first DOW campaign but with more tools available from Soulstorm.
The code is easy but takes a long time to input.

Sorry, just worked out you meant for the game. Stupid me.
You might have downloaded a mod that overrides mine.
Redownload my mod and it should take care of it. It won't mess with anything else. The splash screen is in Engine/Data/art/ui/textures. In theory, you can put any png there.

Thank you all for downloading this. It took a fair chunk of my life. I'll upload further episodes very soon

Honestly? It's retro-coding what is already there. For some reason they took out the single player modules from Soulstorm so a few of us just ripped it out from the original Dawn of War and placed it back in. It was a closely guarded secret back then (2015) as jONES1979 very well knows.

Coding in SCAR is basically LUA but defined by initials. Copy and Paste is the way to go because it takes so long to set up a scripted event. When I started, it took me weeks just to write a simple timed attack, ambush or upgrade. Now it takes me minutes. Unpackage the main games data files and work backwards.

I'll place it back. I had the same problem. We can code our entire pages but you have to keep changing it. No idea why.
Thank you for the kind words.

Hey jOnes. Long time no speaky.

It's just impossible to debug on your own. I literally ran through the second episode today and a fatal SCAR error occurred simply because I wanted to see what would happen if I didn't follow the second mission objective of building an aspect portal.
I might ask for help later as I'm looking at the code with a bit more vigilance but it's been years since I wrote it so might have to relearn riding the bicycle.
It took months to perfect the code and it just annoys me now that tiny things like that can break the mod.

Hi, TheBlastFurnace. Thank you for your kind words. Unfortunately, I only got up to Episode 4a, 4b and 5a (divergent maps based on choices made in Episodes 2 and 3) and they were progressively buggy so I decided not to release them. They still exist but for now it looks as though they might be on a hiatus.

That's excellent! I'll have a look at these over Christmas as I'm just in the process of moving house. Good work!

No worries. Show me what you have. I'm currently finishing Episode three (which was already done) and Episode four. If you want to use a translator and release, I'll have no problems with that.

It's a one man project and although I've not abandoned it, most of the voice actors have. The third episode is done and both episodes 4a and 4b are close to being finished.

If you follow the file structure it should appear automatically. If you're still having problems can you create an account so I can troubleshoot in further detail?

Excellent! Only share links - more secure. Upload your work to a file sharing site (I use Dropbox) and share the link. Looking forward to seeing what you've got.

If you have an account with Dropbox or something similar, upload it into a public folder. The language file is at Data/Locale/French so I'll proof-read it to make sure the language intentions are the same and update the file.
Cheers.

Sorry for the late reply, episodes 3 and 4 are being updated due to the voice actors not being available. Script and story line is the same but had to cut a few corners. Hopefully get them both out in the next few months.

Hey, Vincent!
You're very welcome to translate anything in the UCS files and I'll add it as an update/patch (locale folder) and I'm glad this mod is getting further interest from outside the UK. I'll add your credit if you're interested.

Sorry been modding for Skyrim, back now though - seeing how my baby is doing as it were. What do fancy doing for it? Level design? Remember its a one player experience. WE (yeah thankfully I have someone on board now) are getting the coding right but you're defo needed for playtesting if you're still up for it.

Sorry this is late. Been working on Skyrim mods. The voice files are linked to the UCS file which are in the Locale folder and refer to the subtitles you see on screen. Those are then linked to the .fda files located in the sound>speech folder in data. You will need to convert your wav or mp3 sound files into fda to get the sounds in-game. Thanks for your support. If you need more infor, gimme a message.

Only little bits have been ironed out and changed (apart from poor Chud who you will see in Episode 3 - he's just toooo powerful so I've tried to limit that by making him slow as hell). I'm sure you'll smash it though, mate. I'd be interested in which route you took though.
