So the optiwand is not available which I assume isn't a bug, but almost 1/3 of the time when I tell the NPCs to check the lock they say that it's trapped. I end up going around the door and then I find out it wasn't trapped anyway

I would rather there just be a battering ram. SWAT officers don't kick doors down, they use a battering ram. It would be a lot more fun to use, too

If I got the ability to play as Vadamee in that Covenant cruiser Firefight map that would be extraordinary, plus it's probably the map that would make the most sense.
New music sounds very intriguing, how are you going to top the Silent Cartographer Evolved song? If you can outdo yourself with that feat of a song then I would be thoroughly impressed, that one's my favorite.

What a cool map. It almost feels like dark souls level difficulty. I don't usually rage at games, so this was a pretty relaxing experience for me compared to what I see other people commenting on. I don't like how the combine and zombies don't fight each other, it doesn't seem lore accurate. Generally I think difficulty in games shouldn't change the player's or the enemy's health/damage, it should instead change how many enemies there are, the types of enemies, and their intelligence. I like the challenge this posed, but I'm not a fan of the infinitely respawning enemies in some areas, and the platforming puzzle in the water room felt confusing. The solution I came upon feels like I cheated, because I basically glitched onto the railing and climbed around the fences which doesn't feel natural. Overall, this is very good for your first ever published map.

I've played through this mod for the first time in a few months, and I think it's pretty good. My favorite mission is infestation where I get to see the effects of the flood as I go through the level. Last time I played this mod, I made the suggestion of an alternate ending where the flood escapes the ring, and I still think that would be a great addition. If you don't want to implement it because it would not go along with the lore, I wouldn't worry about that as you've already shown in Vitriol that flood forms are able to drive vehicles without a gravemind.

While on the topic of vehicles, I really think what would make this mod better is a driving sequence. If it was my choice, I would either make a new level that takes place in a large area, such as two betrayals, where the flood drives vehicles, or implement it into the decay level near the end, which would be easier to create. A driving sequence could pair well in the explosion of the Autumn since that sequence was a lot shorter than I would've liked it to be.

There is another flood mod called The Forgotten Exile, which I think you took inspiration from considering that you got some of your assets from the creator of that mod. One thing I liked from that mod was (again) the vehicle sequence, but more importantly, it had scripted cutscenes. One thing your mod lacks is showing any doors being broken open or really any movement other than miscellaneous things like flood growth. Any time it implies something like a door being opened/closed, it makes a sound and has the event happen off-screen. Player experience would be even better than it already is if they walk around the corner and see a horde of flood combat forms break a door open, for example.

Overall, I think this mod is great, and I hope you continue to update it with further improvements. It is so unique in the fact that you can convert humans and elites into flood forms and add to your colony. If you took everything else away and just made a mod that adds that functionality, I would still download it. I will definitely check back in the future for any exciting updates.

The ending makes me wish there was some sort of secret you could do to reach the ship before Chief does for an alternate ending

As a bit of feedback, I find that the ending is a little unsatisfying, it just suddenly happens. I think it could be made a little better if you ran through a few rooms with a horde of flood, chasing after Chief's warthog with action music, such as this Youtube.com song which would be really good for this sort of thing.

In short, I think the ending happens too fast for me to really get into the moment.

Hm how about making it to where the flood follows you, similar to how the grunts follow the elites. Then maybe have triggers when you reach certain rooms or hallways to make the flood charge ahead with you instead of trailing behind

lol this game was released 10 years ago, and the last update was 6 years ago, so I think it's safe to say development has stopped
