Well I was digging around my Games folder, rediscovered this game it works now no issues like before, probably because I have a new video card. :)
Cool, glad to hear you eventually got it working! I've been working on it a bit more lately so I hope to have some new stuff to show after so long :)
I like the game, but I am having an issue, it always crashes on this part

Hmm.. well there's not much to go on, but it may have to do with 'surfaces'. Next time you start, try disabling surfaces in the options on the main menu. You'll lose the cool fog/lighting/reflections, but it might fix the crash problem. Let me know if that works.
It still crashes after I disable surfaces.
