ATI doesn't exist anymore (they were bought by AMD) so your description is slightly wrong. Otherwise its a pretty nice build except for the dreadfully old parts which you plan on upgrading anyways.

ATi Will always exist to me lol
I never go intel due to the price
And I've had many nVidia cards 4***(1-2 cards) 5***(3-4 cards) 6*** (1 the 6800 which I unlocked the 2 pipelines and overclocked to the ultra)

Had a few ATi cards during the Doom 3 E3 leak period 9200 to the 9600pro
Had a X850XTPE HD2900XT 6950currently(Development Card) Along with R9290 Currently(Gaming Card) as well

AMD may have owned ATi During the 6*** series and now have done away with ATi logos (besides for what parts are left in the drivers

But damn it they are still ATi *thumps table, and gets dragged away screaming in denial* The people who did the special work
for ATi are probably still there working away as usual

They will always be ATi to me :'(
Love AMD too but ATi is ATi They may have started pretty much with Modems, But they'll be remembered for there graphics cards, And never be forgotten by me

I went with a left handed Razor Deathadder and it's a really nice mouse, There software was a pain in the behind though. The mouse works perfectly without it unfortunately I loaded it in straight away and it took hours of hassle before I figured that out.

Ive always sung the praise of logitech, even though i have had more of their mice break, i guess it was personal brand choice over reliability.

A g25 keyboard died when beer got split on it, for 5 years i used a cheap 10 dollar keyboard that took many more spills, untill i saved up enough for a new fangly old style mechanical keyboard, as i spend most my days typing its more of a tool and quality matters a great deal, not to say Logitech is rubbish, but I'm sure if id stuck the Logitech under water to wash the beer off it, it still wouldnt be working.

my razor blackwidow has already had one wash and still works like new, ive never liked the sit of the razor mice, im much more a fan of the logitech 500 style with inlayed thumb support and easy to reach side buttons.

Its a bigger and weighty feel and has always served me well in games, however for the next upgrade ill prolly go for a Corsair M60 (rather than a razor) looks like it will last a while and has a layout i think will feel comfortable.

I have 5 normal SATA HDD'S, 3x250gig standard & 2 250gb notebook drives as i was to lazy to by real ones, so i salvaged them from dead laptops.

Upgrading to SSD will help but i think i need sata3 for the best effect and i dont think this motherboard supports 3, so when i get change to upgrade the GPU, i will also upgrade the MB and increase the RAM.

Honestly the speed games load is pretty fast, so the upgrade might wait till 4k becomes the standard.

Description

Back from my hometown so brought an old friend with me.

I bought the case (6 years ago, unused for 4) ...home as its designed for custom watercooling in mind (old stock cooler kept over heating causing tons of issues).

Had to front mount the watercooling in the hdd bay this helps increase airflow over the radiator but is mainly as there was no way to mount it anywere else and fit in the video cards.

5x HDDS
ATI 5850HD
I7 860 - Corsair H60 Watercooling kit
8GB Corsair DDR3 Ram
Antec 1200 Case
Corsair 750W PSU

This is the current rig I work off on a day to day basis, its used for most my DBolical work aswell as 3d modeling and testing indie games.

Things i want to correct.

Upgrade Ram to 16GB
Upgrade Video Card to ATI Mantle or Nvidia CUDA supported card.
Upgrade main drive to SSD
Razor Mouse

Love to see what other rigs others run.
