Try switching the in-game profile from the 360 controller to the Logitech. See if that helps.

The main reason for the license key is actually not about DRM. It's about coding speed. Doing the license key allows us to have the same installer for demos and the full game. This way, we don't have to do any extra work to keep the demo up-to-date.

We have a demo, it's the same as the release version, there are just limits to how far you can go in the game.
