umm yeah I usually only work on weekends, if you can pay me salary I get in my job, I will happily work on workdays aswell :)
1. As seen in HL1, scientists thought the HECU came there to save them, however HECU were killing them instead. In OP4, scientists who you meet are still alive that means they didnt meet any other hecu who would kill them except you and so they still must think you came to save them so they are still very friendly. You as the player can still kill them and be as you said "propper hecu". Also in map where you almost make it to the helicopter you can see a hecu "bullying" one scientist, that assumes the hecu are not friendly towards scientists.
2.As seen in the begginning of OP4 your squads basically died and you are only one who survived the air attack, so i think its logical you are alone in that area of Black Mesa. There are many instances where you can call some other hecu marines throught a radio so that means the hecu is there just not exactly in your area in black mesa (assuming black mesa is huge complex)
Yes faster work can be done by using some 3d painter, however everything what is generated is still just generated and you have less control over it, sometimes I use substance painter for speed but if I aim for quality photoshop is the way to go :)
What you mean by "break down"? I dont take it as insult at all :) I personally believe that quixel stuff is nice and has its own place in industry BUT if you aim for quality nothing can beat photoshop :)
No Quixel Suite at all, just good old Photoshop :)
and who would say it took me only 2,5 years to finish it :)
tbh I think this wouldnt have a lot of reason to be coded in, as you usually kill enemies before they could potentially run out of ammo :)

There are many things much more important to develop right now than this. When we get into final stage of development when we will only polish everything we will mostly likely fix things like this :)
i can surely tell, it will be closer to release date than it is now :P
